That bullpoop offside call changed the whole game. Possibly the whole series.

However Rinne NEEDS to stop that shot. The first shot they had in 36 plus minutes......

I was more annoyed at the Crosby interference that directly led to the 3rd goal but yeah that was tough. I would like to see the angle they had that was conclusive enough to overturn the call because the one they showed on tv was inconclusive IMHO

Yeah I know - I mean he was clearly out of practice watching the game for nearly 2 shotless periods but wow he was really not lined up positionally. Of course that 1st shot they finally got would go in and be the GWG.

CBC feed had the blue line camera and showed the skate outside of the zone off of the ice.

I figured there had to be a clear cut view that we didn't see on NBC

This offers the most conclusive look of a pretty inconclusive call IMO

The elevated skate and the not complete control/possession is why it was considered off-sides. What's more impressive IMO was Pittsburgh's eye-in-the-sky coach that caught that and challenged it. The CBC feed was very surprised to hear that Pittsburgh was challenging.

I still can't say with 100% assuredness that it was definitely completely off the ice.

Is there a chance NJ doesn't take Nolan Patrick number one? I thought this was a slam dunk but maybe it isn't?

the 33 doesn't count all of the RFA's they need to sign or guys like Lindblom and Weal

There's a very real chance. And I hope that comes to fruition.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. There might even be debate within Jersey as to who they're going to take.

gotta tell you that is the view we saw on NBC and I cannot say without doubt his skate was off the ice.

You know as soon as that entry occurred, the coach was ready. My problem, in addition to the inconclusive nature of the replay (at least the ones I've seen), is the fact that the Pens had possession of the puck. Once that happened, should the idea of an offside have been null and void?

I mean, taken to logical extremes, if the play from that point of entry on should have never happened, what if the Pens had retained control, exited the zone and gone on to score, could Nashville have challenged the play of their own entry to overturn the call?

Tocchet was on WIP this morning with Morganti and he said the video coach wasn't sure....it was close. so they decided to take a chance

with how ridiculous the review has been...there is plenty of reason to challenge a call whenever it is close

Even after seeing the replay from CBC, I still dont think there is enough conclusive evidence to overturn it.

Same with goalie interference. Whenever there's a slight doubt, go for it because who knows.

As they say, sometimes you get the shark, and sometimes you end up wearing Teddy Roosevelt's underwear on your face.
