Yup, sure did. Gotta keep the site clean from ignorant riff-raff so others can enjoy using it versus hearing trash from angry name callers trying to insult people and obviously have other issues in their lives to deal with. BTW: Aren't you late for a Trump rally?

Oh, and you can keep taking and talking, Done with you now.

I seriously laughed through most of this thread. Complaining about the refs? Seriously.

get used to it buddy...... it starts with the GM, to the Coach to 87 and 71 and all the way through. Its the self-entitled attitude Pittsburg has.....

We can do what we want, but for God's sake don't touch us. 87, 71, 14 and a few others are constantly hacking, cross-checking.

Don't get me wrong, I'm OK with it, its play-off hockey...... But don't turn around and cry after it happens to you.....

absolutely right, and it all comes from Bettman. He owes Mario for life for helping to end the 2005 lockout

You forgot Muzza. Don't touch our goalie, we get very upset about that!

Has Methot recovered from his amputation yet - of course, I forgot, he tried to gouge Sid's eyes out didn't he??? Gouge out his eyes.....................

So do you think they paid Rinne for his effort today or do they use other measures to get what they want? I can see how disallowing goals can be seen as a gift - hell, they gave 1 of those bastards to Ottawa, but getting a goalie to give up 4 on 11 shots is an outstanding effort!

I wouldn't feel too bad about how they win, as long as they win.

So you're saying I shouldn't watch the game just check the scoreboard in the morning? If it's the win that matters not how they actually get it, what's the point? Yeah, I've never bought into the "a win is a win" since I've always liked the competition part of all sports and the win should be earned. If a win is a win and nothing else matters, then what if the other team's plane crashes after having a 3-0 lead in the series? Do we celebrate the Cup that was awarded from default like it was earned? What if Rinne goes down and all they have as a backup is a monkey with one arm? Do we feel good about winning 2-1?

Simply put. I want them to better earn the next win, although I can't see how any next win won't be more deserving than that one.

I get that you want them to play well & 'deserve' their result. But at the end of the day watch the game & think what you want, if they lose you want them to win if they play bad & win, what would you prefer? They lose?

There's an expression in sport. The sign of a good team is 1 that can play bad & win.

Blame it on Rinne, the refs or whoever, but I'm a Pens fan & I want them to win any & every way they can.

Should the Preds feel bad about not playing our full strength team, should we feel bad about the Preds injuries? Both teams have their issues, why don't we wait until both are full strength so we see the 'real' SCF?

I'm not sure why everyone seems so upset with that game. Pens got it done when it counted, even if they really struggled at times. That's how you win the cup, by finding a way to steal games even when you weren't the best team.

I thought the Pens were doing alright until the two soft, dare I say embellished, penalties against them. Nashville obviously figured out their breakout pretty quickly, so its awesome to get out with a win and now they can focus on their own adjustments.

Another great game for Sullivan behind the bench with the challenge and the decision to move Guentzel down in the lineup. Can a coach win the Conn Smythe?

At the end of the day I dont care how they get the win but its kind of hard to believe they get 3 more with the games looking like that...of course, I said the same thing in the Caps series...In fact the Pens have been outplayed in every game 1 these playoffs. Some being more severe than others, last night being the worst.

Where's Jboyd with those charts?

I feel like while they had more shots and much more possession they didnt have a ton of chances/high danger chances. Sure the Preds had some here and there and a few segments of really good pressure by the Preds but they only out shot the pens by 3 in the 1st and by 2 in the 3rd. They only had 6 shots in the 3rd period...26 overall which isnt a real high total to begin with.

Did you steal this from the Sens thread last week

its fun to watch the final when you have less emotion tied up in it. I, for one, thought last night's game was great.

I hope that Nashville wins, for Fishers' sake. They just have to keep pounding the D, and kill the non-calls that end up with them in the box.....

Yeah say it because Subban's hand wasn't even hit but he lifted it off his his stick and shook it like it was. He got the slashing call that lead to a goal.

Disclaimer: I really like Subban on and off the ice. Wouldnt bat a lash to him being a Penguin.

I didn't notice that one actually... I was more referring to the Forsberg flop and the Cole penalty for roughing where he gave the guy a shot in the chest and his head went flying back.

On Subban, he is talented but I'd rather not have him. I'm all for guys being excited and celebrating but to do such a drawn out and contrived celebration right in front of the Pens bench... was a little much. He spends a lot of time & energy trying to draw attention to himself and then wonders why everyone thinks he is a douche.

I like him. I love his enthusiasm and he's a hell of a hockey player.

I will say though he does cough it up a bit...numerous times last night. It's no different than Letang though really, guys like that have to take their chances and sometimes it backfires. More often than not though it leads to a gained offensive zone/continued pressure and then sometimes a goal.

I cant believe the title of the Preds blog today. I cant believe the number of times I've seen the word ironic (or irony/ironically) these playoffs. Astronomical amounts.

PK Subban's goal called back

Sidney Crosby's elbow NOT called

...literally the most NHLest thing to happen in the NHL's biggest game.

Oh no doubt..Im curious about scoring chances/high danger chances. I mean they only had 2 more shots than the Pens in the 3rd period...6 in total.
