Nashville "had" better depth. Pitt has experience. IDK

I think the Pens are definitely the favorite, Rinne will have to be significantly better than Murray for NSH to win, he's the difference maker.

Because it will piss off a lot of people and I want to see Montreal freak out when Subban hoists the cup. Oh, and I don't like Grimace who plays for the Pens.

It's hard not to like Fleury.

Predators win would be amazing. I was just in Nashville and they love that team.

You can feel the excitement watching every game they play, they're getting to experience a cup run for the first time which is pretty cool. Good loyal fans too

Fair point, I just think Malkin and Crosby are two of the greatest (although I don't like Crosby as a player) players ever....I'd like to see Malkin get another one.

As per Jeff Marek "Don't be surprised if Jalen Chatfield makes the Canucks straight out of camp"

I am not super familiar with Jeff Marek, and looked him up and he works for sportsnet, but he was covering the Memorial cup so hopefully he saw some good talent in the Canucks prospect.

If Jeff Marek was anyone of notice, that would actually say more about the current state of the Canucks roster than it does about Chatfield.

It shouldn't take an undrafted free agent like Chatfield for ANYONE to realize where our franchise is (as far as prospects). If Stecher made our team out of camp, it just goes to show. Having said that, Marek seems to have high praise for Chatfield, saying "he is one of, if not the best, at shot suppression in the entire OHL"

Again, don't know much about Marek, and not sure about his credentials, but it certainly is nice to hear some good news about a defensive prospect for once lol

Basically he's saying Jim Benning is the worst GM in the National Hockey League

lol, well take it however u want to take it. If Benning is able to sign Kerfoot and D.Raddysh, I would be very happy. Out with some old, in with some new

Ya if they choose to sign with the Canucks it's good, I suppose, although it really has nothing to do with Benning. Much like Stecher it's the players choice, not the GM's, when it comes to Major Junior or College free agents signing with your team. They're looking for opportunity to play in the show, that's what sells them.

In 2014/15, when Benning took over as GM, he had Edler, Tanev, Bieksa, Hamhuis, Stanton & Weber given to him, plus he had Hutton in the system.

Three years later they still have Edler/Tanev as their top pairing and he's got Hutton, Stecher, Sbisa and Gudbranson rounding out his top six.
