Honestly this pick doesn't really mean anything, right now. We need a top line center and no player in this draft is close to that other than Nolan and Nico.
I would prefer a defenseman or a winger. - SRam19
I find it odd no-one seems interested in Owen Tippet, the top ranked Winger in the draft. We are really weak on the right wing, which is where he plays. Definitely worth a chance, and ranked in our area too. |

That's pretty good, I wouldn't recommend posting that in the Pens blog though |

Boeser, Virtanen (Havnt given up yet), Goldobin, Lockwood....Rw is our strongest position for the future. |

anyone else notice that Kunitz touches a pred from the bench. The preds PP should have been 5 on 3. |

all unproven NHL players, so I'd say it's our weakest position. |

We have no proven players then other then Bo, and have more holes at every other position then RW |

NHL regulars:
Centers=Hank/Bo/Sutter
LW=Dank/LE/Baertschi/Gaunce/Granlund
RW=DORSETT/Granlund
Rw is our weakest position after trading Burrows/ Hansen. |

Ericksson played RW last season aswell. Once Henrik is gone would much rather have Glass as a top center instead of Sutter. Wingers are easier to come by. |

Fixed, Center is our weakest position. The twins are done after this year. Boeser has proven he can score at the NHL level, he just needs to prove he can do it consistently now. Goldy kind of did the same. |

you are foolish to think that JB isn't dumb enough to extend them. |

he had one power play goal where he blew the zone, he didn't look ready at all. Boeser played 10 games? I can see him play 3rd line wing or something, but he's a college player and has never played 82 games.... he needs to be in Utica.
Boucher was more ready than both of them imo. |

then why can we never find one? |

Boeser is going to be solid. Plus the fact Benning said Center or powerplay dman shows were canucks weaknesses are. If we needed RW hed draft one |
|
|
|
Glass is in-between 6-12 on a ton of rankings, yet Tippet is consistently #4/5/6... he's the better pick imo.
If we are picking a centre I want Villardi, definitely not Glass. |

I spent a couple years on a major project with BC Hydro and it was pretty eye opening how much time and money was wasted.
They had crew heads delaying work so they could get helicopter pay on a holiday and quadruple their wages for the day.
Or spending a week having axe throwing competitions or other shenanigans then finishing the job that was scheduled for the entire week on the last day.
That's what you can get away with when you have a monopoly... - Fosco
Wow you still are lurking around, good to see, please post more often, you used to have the best insight into upcoming talent, I'd like to see your thoughts on the upcoming draft.
Regarding hydro, my neighbour is a retired mechanical engineer that was project manager for major power generating plants around the world, nuclear or water, whatever. He says we are grossly overcharged for our power, and after knowing him for ten years I would agree. |

Goldy had 3 goals in 12 games. Boeser showed he has an NHL level shot and can shoot accurately from a lot of positions. Also has very good position on PP. Get your facts straight. |

Yes, in Utica, unless he comes into camp and blows it away.
I think Boeser is going to be really good, time will tell. |

That would be a 20g pace if he kept it up. I wasn't saying to pencil him in, just that he and boeser make us stronger at wing, both in NHL and prospects. Center and future PMD are our top priorities over another winger. This looks like a need over BPA draft as outside the top 2 there is no consensus BPA. |
