The earth does go through cooling and warming periods and yes it is currently in a "cooling" phase but the average temperature is still too high and will continue to rise.

The idea that every single scientist in the history of forever is pushing some sort of global agenda for more funding is asinine. Does it happen? Yes, there are some douche bags out there who abuse the system but they are not the rule.

No one is saying we have to completely eliminate fossil fuels right now. That is impossible and would put millions of Americans citizens out of work. It's going to be a long and complicated process of using what we already have and implementing new strategies to create sustainable and cleaner energy.

The growth of industry in sustainable energy is paramount for future generations.

It's very interesting and the fluctuations in data that he is presenting are strange.

To be fair all this article shows is that the media went pretty nuts with the global cooling thing. I'm not arguing that climate change is going to cause the apocalypse tomorrow morning, but that it is something we can't just discount as fake news or some global cabal of scientists trying to dumb down the population and take all the money. I like to think I'm pretty objective and skeptical and if presented with overwhelming evidence that there is no reason to worry about fossil fuels maybe not being such a great thing, I would absolutely subscribe to that.

How dare you. Global warming is a myth because of a media conspiracy in the seventies. But that's the point. What is spewed now IS THE EXACT SAME THING that was spewed in the 70's. The exact!!! Now it's warming, then it was cooling. The major difference is now we have the internet, etc., that wasn't around in the 70's. The dire predictions never came true.

The same fears (only warming vs cooling) are happening again, only the distortions are so easily spread now because of the internet. History is only repeating itself.
