Assuming we don't score a top line RW like Nino, I am really hoping they move Tacks over with Bennett & put Janko on the Backlund/Frolik line. Those two really know how to get a rookie climatized to the NHL.

I hope they keep Janko at Centre and time for Stajan to move on. He's be good in Vegas, even if the Flame have to eat a million in salary. Long term if they can't get Backlund into a new contract, Janko at centre will be much needed.

Well, Jero may be a bit of an Oiler knob, but he's better quality then some of the Flames posters in here. At least he can take what he dishes and can be somewhat realistic about his own team. Personally, I don't mind and outsiders view on our team. It's idiots like Dogla, Sambrown and T2P that are disliked by Oiler fans as much as us.
As for new guy aka Bigern, maybe you just want to talk hockey with only Flames fans. That's fine but ten maybe ignore other hockey fans comments and don't respond.

That's a pretty minor mention. I don't think it will get any traction. As much as I would love to get a Lindholm or vatanan, it would mean Tre would have to protect 4 D. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Cant argue that, but why does it have to be about the expansion? Could be a good old fashion hockey trade at the draft.

A bit of savings for us. Bennett is due for a raise (although not much) and we are in search of a 3-4 defencemen that will likely cost us somewhere around 4 million.

Lindholm I believe is 5.25 mill.

Leaves us a few extra million to resign Backlund and hopefully have Jankowski slot into a third line role.

I hate giving up benny but I'd do that trade. Lindholm would be the perfect age for our D and would solidify our Top 4. Benny is still unproven so the Ducks would be taking a huge risk.
