Just load up on dmen who can transition the puck and centers. Everything else doesnt matter nearly as much. But tough to do when your management group annoys one of your better dmen prospect and refuses to make changes for the better of the team.

Look at the the drafting by the Canucks, flames, oilers and even leafs over the last 10-15 years ...you can see why they were or are terrible ...so many swing and misses

Coho wasn't an awesome player but at that team he was help to Kesler and the Sedin's in secondary scoring. Until Bo came, Van hasn't had that type of secondary scoring. The Sedin's are too old now and Kesler's gone.
