No , I get that side of it. He wants a bunch of players that have not won in the NHL to remain as the pillars of the team.
Tanev does not hit and does not put up points so I am not a fan of his or turn the other cheeck Edler or the twins. I would rather they were sheltered by players closer to the style I like. - VANTEL
I keep coming here and reading so called expert advice from posters who have never even worked for an NHL team and never will work for one, so I know how you feel. |

Tanev out 4 .5 mil Franson in 2.5 stop gap
Edler out 5 mil Rob Scuderri in 2.5 mil stop gap - VANTEL
I'd rather play Pedan/Subban than pay 5m for 2 bums. Lesser paid bums with not much term/risk.
Can we not destroy our salary cap while we still actually have salary

Just because he isn't giving players away for free doesn't mean anything.

What has JB been offered for Edler and Tanev? |
|
|
|
Everyone is afraid of trying something new. This has been a losing team mostly since 2012.
I will refer back to previous moves that were going to screw the team royally . Hamhuis Burrows Lack Hansen Kesler Bieksa Garrison .
No matter who we remove we always seem to be okay.

No, I'm in a real safe boring place, so safe and boring that Germans go there. I've cancelled the re-planting of the last 8 acres, I'm thinking of planting mangosteen on the rest, hard to grow but high profit crop. |

Can't just magically make trades happen because you don't like certain players. |

Wow
You really can't be this dense.
You asked me who has Benning been offered , how the fuk do I know who he has been offered.
I give you a smart ass answer and you think it is serious.
I will simplify it for you. I don't know who Jim has been offered. Is that better |

I like to play the "game" all the way through.
This team drafted so poorly for so long. Imagine if Van drafted Karlsson instead of Coho.
The Sedin's had Kesler basically for years as support. No team is going to win like that.
Now you want to get rid of the decent D that could support some better players in the future. Getting rid of them means you have to draft and develop and hope that 2 more players pan out.
Exactly why Burrows goes for a equivalent second rounder at the TDL. A sure thing is still better then what might or might not be. |

The Sedins with Keslers support came close once, not 4 or 5 times. If you put high praise into the presidents cup you can say they came close twice.
You may have your opinion of Edler but I put him on par with Hamhuis. When we moved Hammer how many here said keep Hamhuis trade Edler.
He is a decent Dman not a cornerstone IMO. I find little difference in the teams play if Edler is here or not. I also think there are NHL Free Agents that could do the same thing at less cost.
I don't see a reason to keep both Edler and Tanev. I think one is enough . |
