Forsberg, Turris,Karlsson,Ellis and Johansen are all key cogs and high picks. You have to draft well, as it's a team game, but you also need elite talent which usually comes in the first two rounds. For sure you need lots of picks outside of the first to work, Ottawa and Nashville have drafted very well.

It's Jim Bennings fault that Tryamkin refuses to ever improve his game in the minors, came to camp fat, bailed after a mediocre year in the 3rd pairing. All JBs fault, he should have moved to Russia last summer and hand crafted a diet for Tryamkin

They were still all high picks. RyJo was a 4th overall and took a 4th overall defenseman for Preds to acquire. Forsberg was a 12th oa and took a screw up by a desperate caps gm to acquire. see the trend?

Bo is our future captain, regardless of how high his potential is, I wouldn't even consider trading him. Thats just my opinion though, I really like the kid.

I don't know why they wouldn't give it to us this year.... there is a trend of teams waiting until they have to bee they give up draft picks. That's the onky thing that I can think of.
