A number one all star center? No way no how. I do think he'll be in the running for the Calder (cause it's a weak year for Calder candidates) but he has NO motor on the ice. Whether that's poor skating, or poor positioning, or laziness...whatever the combination of reasons, he always appears to be drifting. He puts up big points in junior cause his size and hands lets him drift, but he looked out of place in the NHL.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong and you're right, but I don't think Strome is much more than a second line center, and PP specialist.
You have been right about a lot of players, but I think Strome, Murphy, and Duclair you are dead wrong on. Duclair is a third line winger good for 10-15 goals. Murphy is a legit top 4 defenseman on a bad team, and Strome is closer to a Derick Brassard than he is a getzlaf.

Dahlmanyotes - Did you go to any games he played in? I only ask because I did and in my opinion he looked out of place because our illustrious coach (who should not be the coach moving forward) did not put him in position to succeed what so ever. He was saddled with McGinn for most of his shifts, and that is pretty much all you need to know. I have defended Chayka's moves but that signing is border line awful at best...
Put Strome on a line with say, Perlini and Keller, and watch how his numbers will grow over the course of a year. As I've stated many times on different blogs on this site, start Strome as a 3C, then watch as he matures into at worst a 2C. And for us, that will be a win because as now, we only have one legit C on the roster, Dvorak. Our 1C is not on the roster, and won't be until the expansion draft approaches and we can use the cap space and capital we have to remake the roster.
Down the middle of Dvorak, Strome, insert 4th line C and say Stepan or someone of that ilk, then we have something.... just this Coyotes fans' opinion...
