I'm wondering if this search is for a new GM or to run and rebuild the ahl team and drafting? To me that's the step they should do first. Then in 2 years take sakics job. And yes, Fenton would be a great hire

drafting is fine, its been really promising the past 2 years. Development is an issue though.

I don't disagree. But that's something that can always improve. Last 2 years have been good, now we are signing them, need to develop them properly. A step was taken last year in EV signing as coach and running similar system to Bednar. Now the next step to me should be replacing CB with someone else. New blood, new idea's, and better. If they do that, that's a big step forward.

This guy can/should be able to help sakic with player trades, something I thing he has struggled with. Especially if they decide to move on from 9, 92, 4 and 6.
