Ok, you think there is urgency in trading Tryamkins rights. Any specific reason?
- CanuckDon

His development curve seems likely to be a long one.

I do in Lilgergren and Makar but We have needs and a centre is at the top of the list.
- thundachunk

Yeah we do. Probably for both. I liked the OJ pick last season after how things unfolded. If JB passes on one of the top Centers for a D will not be devastating but riskier. Plus still leave us panting for a C. Though I like Mattheos in second round. He's a tough skilled kid. Played wing like Vilardi as well and better skater.

You're thinking of pairing him with Subban on the Comets?

Imo, he hasn't really shown a lot of great horizontal mobility in his skating, which of course can be developed. However, his initial stride is weak and his first pass instinct doesn't seem to be accurate.

That's the kind of stuff he'll be able to work on in the KHL. Just don't understand why you think it would take more then 5 years to develop.

I wonder if they'll sign McEneny. It would be tougher for two rookie D to run a PP if it's Brisbois and Chatfield. Well lots to look forward to with who goes where by Canucks Camp. JB sees this prospect group NHL quality in call ups while developing on Comets.

Guess you have a selective memory, I said it on several occasions, and I remember you getting your knickers in a knot over it.

Pens ownership isnt much better. Threatened to relocate to KC and LV in order to exploit the local governments to fully fund the construction of their arena and now pay something around $4m per year back to the city, which doesnt include all the infrastructure costs, forgoing property tax and other sources of income normal buildings generate.

Not to mention they were dead last in attendance the year before Crosby arrived.

That franchise is essentially what Edmonton should have been if their 1OA's all panned out, new stadium and all

I just don't really see the makings of a top pairing guy. That's not a bad thing. If he becomes a solid 4-6 guy that's still a win.

I cheer for Canadian players not Cities. I don't give a flying frank about Ottawa or any other Canadian team. I respect the Penguins for their ability to overcome adversity. No team has been rattled more by injuries this year in my opinion.

Yeah seems he made the right decision then to go for now. Use KHL team for a better role to develop. Take family time and earn a better offer in playing more significant icetime. Others have done it who have that KHL option. I like to see one report of where Tree says he doesn't want to play in the NHL for family reasons. It's the Canuck line to save face. But I see this kid coming back one day to the NHL. He's still years away from his prime. Let's see if he uses the development time wisely. We all know there is never a shortage of interest for D by NHL teams.

If he waits 5 years then we got nothing for him. But my post was in regards to Maxwhatever stating he has no desire to play in the NHL at all. If that were true, then it doesn't matter if we have his rights.

Oh well, then they wasted a 5th round pick...years from now.

Don't know how anyone can hate on Karlsson. The guy has been a monster in the playoffs.
