What does our situation have to do with the Sens? They are apparently a contender and they are wasting cap space on Burrows. Not to mention they traded their 2nd best prospect to acquire him - CanuckDon
You are stating that Burrows is paid quite a bit of money for what he has provided (namely assists). I am simply stating that it doesn't quite sting so bad when you are paying players big money, they are underperforming (to an extent) but you are still in reach of the goal (a Stanley cup).
If Burrows brings OTT a Stanley cup (or helps bring), its hard to argue he is a "waste" of cap space. |

might go down as one of Jim Benning's best moves as Canucks GM. |

Really looking like a great trade. Also good for Burr as he has gotten to go on the run he was looking for, at least up till the injury |

I've seen many places that he is Vans 2nd best prospect, haven't read that he was Otts 2nd best, I thought they had a deeper pool than us? |

Out of ranked lists. I saw him at 6 on both.
Botchford has him as Van's 2nd. |

I think a good idea for the team this year would be to assume Boeser,(convince Dahlen), and JV play in the AHL. After watching video and a couple games that I found online I think Elias Patterson(maybe trade down a bit) would be a good pick up(or trade Tanev for a pick int he range we can get him and get a D with our 5OA) get them all in the AHL to have a strong team. Dumpster dive a few UFA's to trade at the deadline, and then bring up some youngins. |

Very interesting article on Tryamkin - Retinalz
Yup. This below seems to be the straw that broke the camels back on staying.
"Jim Benning told the media it was “a real good offer,” but if I’m Tryamkin and I’m offered less than Hutton, I might just walk away too. It’s not really about the money. It’s about the respect, or lack thereof. In a season where Tryamkin often felt like his efforts and talents were not being respected, this may well have been the tipping point." |

No trying to take anything away from Benning here, and at no disrespect for Dahlen, but if we look at what some teams have paid for rentals, Benning didn't hit a grand slam, but he definitely hit a home run.
Brian Boyle - 2nd round pick
Dale Weise (albeit with Tomas Fleishman) - Philip Danault (former 1st rounder) + 2nd round pick
Jannik Hansen - Goldobin (former 1st rounder) + 4th round pick (conditional)
Antoine Vermette - 1st round pick to ARI
Kimmo Timonen - 2nd round pick and 4th round pick
Martin Hanzal - 1st round pick
Coburn - Gudas, 1st round pick, 3rd round pick.
My point is, while Benning got some decent returns in Dahlen, Goldobin, and a 4th round pick, they are pretty even for par returns given the history of rentals. |

Then you should be singing Burr praises for brining in such a good prospect. Even more so if the kid makes his NHL debut at some point next season. |

who is Tyler Shipley? - CanuckDon
Someone that has a desire to have an overrated, over sized, out of shape, whiny, number 6 D, self centered Russian on the team. |

The wife has some friends here now and I swear the reincarnation of Archie Bunker is here in my living room. He is about 85 . My Wife said nice to see you again he said have we met ? All you Filipinos look the same to me.
Then he asked me if I spoke Tagalog .I told him a little . He said its all a loud noise like speaking French . He is a British guy. Then he says nice TV can I adjust the color?

I'm not disagreeing but Burrows should be bringing in less than all those guys with the exception of Weiss |
