Yeah I was more joking about how big of a deal everyone has been making about last nights game in OTT (and game 4, which was sold out anyway) but last nights crowd was like 18000 and one of the loudest, craziest crowds I have ever seen. - wilkobecks
When the Goalie Interference Challenge was declared no goal that place exploded. It was glorious to see that.

That had to be one of the most poorly officiated playoff games I've ever seen. I'm always down to rip on Sidney Crosby, but he was straight up abused last night. Pens got screwed multiple times. - LeafsPain54
Does it make up for Malkin getting away with murder all series? |

Should be some interesting line-up decisions for Game 7.
I don`t think White will dress for Ottawa. In his post-game presser Boucher commented about not wanting to play him in Pittsburgh where Sullivan gets last change and could force White to match-up with Crosby or Malkin.
So if that is the case who goes in instead - Wingels or maybe Kelly. It sounds like Burrows is still not ready.
For the Pens I wonder if Schultz or Hornqvist might be available. |

I'm sure the NHL is cringing at the thought of a Preds/Sens final... but seriously, I hope it happens. I would be OK with either of the Preds or Sens winning the Cup vs. Pitt getting ANOTHER one.. - WaterVsAnchor
You know, screw the NHL and what they want.
I am so sick of how they treat teams differently.
Sens - Preds would be great and nice to see some new teams playing for the cup. |

attempted murder. I keep hoping that he will tear one his biceps or something with all of those cross checks |

The NHL embarrasses itself with its officiating.
What's a penalty all regular season is allowed to go uncalled in the playoffs.
What's a penalty in the first period is allowed to go uncalled in the 3rd period.
No other sport would randomize how their officials enforce the rules. Can you imaging defensive backs having free reign to interfere with receivers in football because it was the 4th quarter? Can you imagine umpires shrinking their strike zones late in games because they don't want to decide a game by calling somebody out on strikes.
Only the NHL leaves everybody guessing on what the rules are at the most important time of the season. - maaddmike
uhhh not sure what you're talking about that stuff happens in Super Bowls and World Series all the time. refs are always afraid to make the call in the postseason ESP late in the postseason. This has gone on for years |

The Senators are continuously underestimated by almost everybody. Hopefully, they will ignore the noise and get it done in Pittsburgh. - staples
Yeah its really amazing how the media undermines the Sens. Today in many major news outlets in the first paragraph they mention only 18111 people.like that matters. If you watched the first series it was quite the media gong show against the Sens aka bob cole. But who really cares at this point about the respected media they have lost all integrity on all news fronts.

I was shocked to see White on the ice at all in a elimination game eastern conference final. Thankfully no damage done |

Ill give the Sens credit where its due. They have been a much better team than I thought they were. But only a blind man wouldnt be able to see that the #1 star for the Sens last night was the officials.
The poop they let go on Crosby is absurd at best. Not that the missed calls didnt go both ways, but only one team had a legit goal called off while their superstar literally had people tackling him. |

You're (frank)ing retarded
What about the blatant cross checks, trips, and interference penalties the pens got away with?
Go back to the pens blog where your ridiculously low iq doesn't bring down the bell curve. |

Things that anyone who isn't a PITT homer can see:
1. Goal wasn't legit (I am sure you would agree if OTT had scored it)
2. Crosby gives as good as he gets, and has laughably only taken 2 minor penalties all post season
3. Malkin is the dirtiest P.O.S that I have seen since Matt Cooke, and should be in the box about 10 times per game.
The refs hate the Penzzzz tho.......... |

I'm proud we won, but that wasn't the effort I was hoping for. Pens are going to come out strong next game, I'm hoping the Sens picked up some momentum and have the game of their lives next game. |

The goalie interference review was easy to go either way. The puck is in the crease when contact with Anderson is made.

Totally agree here. I sat on the couch with friends last night saying: 'this isn't good enough... they're going to lose with this effort'. I was pretty shocked they pulled this one off frankly. They're going to have to play twice that hard to have a chance in $hittsburgh in a sea of hostile yellow.

Build a statue of Craig Anderson immediately.
He's the only reason that game was even close last night. They are gonna need a much better effort tomorrow to knock off the defending champs. Giving up 45 shots will not get it done.
We have no answer for the Kessel/Malkin line. Every shift they continue to dominate. Ottawa needs a strong start and for Andy to be the best player for us to come out on top. Can you imagine the sea of tears if they move onto the SCF? My god it would be glorious.

People are acting like there are thousands of empty seats......there were about 200 unsold tickets, out of 18,400 (or whatever max capacity is). So over 99% of the building is full.......good enough for me. |

They pushed the goalie into the net. That's not allowed in hockey |
