Maybe Gibson does win those games but to me Anaheim lost when they traded Anderson. I know people like Gibson but the guy is always hurt, he looks lost at times. I just do not see it. Someone in that organization liked him and decided he was the guy but I am not buying it and I am going to be really bummed when Anderson is raising the Cup with Toronto. I will be happy for him but bummed as a Ducks fan. Gibson better come out and play like the super star he supposed to be next season because if he ends up hurt or sucking there will be A LOT of pissed off Duck fans.

Do you remember games 6 and 7 against Chicago?? Andersen was swiss cheese. Andersen was/is good, but he also makes 5 million a year and the Ducks could not pay 2 goalies that much. 1 had to go and you go with the younger better upside player that is cheaper. No brainer.

He actually makes 4MIL the same amount that we are paying Bernie. That being said, yes he was not very good in those games but he sure looked good against Washington and has better health than Gibson does. We will see how the future pans out.

You're incorrect. We didn't pay Bernier that amount. Yes, 4 million was the CAP hit, but in actually salary we paid 50% of that. Also, after this year he's gone. I believe Andersen has another 4 years on his contract. Gibson is all of 23, which is 3 years Andersens junior, and comes with a much greater upside. Keeping Gibson over Andersen was a no brainer.

hmmmmm you better go visit cap friendly and check the maple leafs pay role. He got 5 x 5. Bernier was also only being paid 2 mil. Cap hit was 4.

Looks like more teams fans are worrying about the Ducks to lose then there own teams. I love being a fan of the most hated team. Everyone rips Kesler yet everyone in this blog would love to have him on the team they root for. Chicago fans weren't female doging about him coming to them when it was the Ducks or Chicago. Losing your 2 top scorers and your starting goalie did us in. Period. Gibson wins that game pretty easily.

Why would a team with morals want Kessler? He can't play amyome. If the Ducks wanna continue to be their losing ways, keep Kessler. He had more penalties than points in this series against the Preds 3-4 centers. Kessler had more giveaways than points. He was -4 last night. The guy is garbage. Keep the crotch monkey.

It is so funny how everyone says how dirty the Ducks are because they play big and heavy. EVERY single team in the league has guys that play that do dirty things! Nashville had guys this series do things that were dirty. You don't win Cups without doing some of those things. You see it every year. The Ducks are just a bigger team and can handle most of that punishment. Oiler fans, you think Kassian is a guy that docent do dirty things? HA! Kings fans, Brown didn't play chippy in their cup runs? Ask Arizona how they feel about that. Nashville, Forsberg/Johansen/Neil didn't spear/slash/hit from behind anyone? Really? Chicago, Shaw is a D'Bag when he was on that team for the Cups runs. Every year in the Stanley Cup finals, that is what is needed to get to the next round and then the next and then the next and then the final. You want to say the Ducks are dirty but they play big boy hockey and they came up short. Nashville had a WAY better goalie last night and that was the difference. We had a guy that hadn't played in a month. If it wasn't for Rinne last night, these two teams are headed back to Anaheim and Nashville is crapping their pants. That is not the way it played out and congrats to Nashville.

And to the Kings fans that hate the Ducks so much, I believe you were crapping your pants because the only thing you really have to hold over the Ducks head over the last decade is that you won two cups. I just do not understand this. You know, just be bigger than that. I will route for the Kings if the Ducks are out of it. We all live in the same area for the most part. I grew up watching and routing for the Kings because that is all we had. As soon as the Ducks came in the league I switched teams. Successful hockey no matter where it comes form SOCAL is good for us and the sport.

Ducks aren't a dirty team they are just playing the game the way that team is built. And if Kessler was so bad at what he does and it was "dirty" then why are they talking about how good he is at what he does? Why not suspend him for that "dirty" play. Oh wait..... He is probably going to win an award this year for being the best defensive forward in the game and anyone of you out there that says you wouldn't want him on your team is a lying to themselves and everyone else!

I'm going to amend that last sentence to: A healthy Gibson wins that game pretty easily. If Colton Scissons scores a hat trick in an elimination game, that goalie doesn't belong in the net. Maybe Mike Augello was right about Bernier all along.

Funny you say that when a Ducks poster can't even spell it correctly...

My bad...... Kesler.... Sorry if I am a little frustrated because of all the stupidity spewed from other teams fans in here. If this is the "I got you burn" then, you need a little more than that. Type-o, it happens.... I will say, that I hope Nashville wins because there fans and that city deserves it. But a lot of Nashville fans need to grow up in here. Be a little more humble in your victory. This could of gone the other way in two seconds if it weren't the play of Rinne they lose and if Nashville wins, he should get the Con Smythe.

You're better than that.

Ducks played without their top two F scorers AND their starting goalie. Then another top F gets kicked out of the game for a stupid penalty. Yes, it was Ritchies fault, but bottom line we had 3 F gone and our G. All we've heard is how the Kings would have made the playoffs if they had Quick, yet you easily dismiss the effect of losing a goalie that had a better save % than the opposition.

I see you didn't highlight the sentence directly before what you chose to talk about. I acknowledge the fact that the Ducks did deal with injuries to top players. And Gibson's injury clearly was what broke their backs in game 6. But last time I checked the Ducks were at one point in a position where the series was 2-2 with 2 of the remaining 3 games in Anaheim. Game 5 was the series. And there's no way you can blame that game (with a straight face anyways) on Bernier. Rakell and Eaves were massive injuries for the ducks, but they're not centers. I don't need to explain to you the difference in importance between a winger and a center. One position is more easily replaced than the other. Flip the script and take Getzlaf and Kesler out for Ducks. It's game over before the puck hits the ice. Gibson was injury that killed them in game 6. But they should've won game 5 hands down.

So you're saying Corey Perry taking the butt end of his stick jabbing it into Rinne face is not a dirty play? Ok. Gotcha.

Actually Rakell is a center. He might not have been playing there at the moment, but check the position.
