It is true though.

Gibson was not consistent. His play in the Oiler series was rocky, especially when he couldn't stop shots at his 5 hole. Then he got lit up that game.

Didn't Calgary also drop 4 on him?

No what is laughable is you coming in here trying to be a man by saying "MY TEAM IS THE BEST"! Like I said before, I have a lot of friends that are Kings fans. I was once a fan and rooted for them. I don't need you to try and make fun of me so you can feel better about your life because you had nothing better to do this playoff year than to find infractions on a team that has been the better team since there inception into this league than the Kings have. Sorry but Anaheim has been the better team the last twenty years and the Kings have not. In every area from drafting, to competing, to our records against each other. Yes the Kings have won twice and good for them but you need to just stop pounding your chest in here. Its pathetic and laughable!
- jwood13lc

Kings and Ducks fans both need to let this go for good. Kings have been around for about twice as long as the ducks and have 2 cups. The ducks have 1 in about half the time. Guess what that means folks!?!? They share the same rate of winning championships. Neither is better than the other in the only stat that really means s*it. And if we're talking head to head, while the ducks have an advantage in the regular season matchups numbers, the 7 most important games ever played between the 2 teams led directly to our 2nd cup. So the Kings win by far the most relevant head to head matchup hands down. If you'd like to relish in those extra 5 wins the ducks have in the regular season all time head to head , I ain't gonna take it from ya. You can keep them! Lol.

Someone's a bit catty!

Outside of playoffs. Lombardi was egregiously fiscally irresponsible in regards to the cap situation. Clearly the guy "didn't want to complicate anything" and wrote check, after check, after check. The poor management doesn't stop there, as the word is the prospect pool isn't anything to write home about.

At the very least I'm a fan of a well managed hockey team (from a GM perspective). That's set up to be a playoff team for at least the next 4 years. I take these outlashes by you Kings fans as a a reality check for those out in LA LA land.

'Your scrubs' beat a third string AHL goaltender in a winner take all game. Lmfao. Congrats bro. I don't think the Ducks making the western finals is at all a failure, I'm simply stating the obvious that it's yet another massive and potentially final missed opportunity. You have to turn the years you're good into championships. The other thing is how much wear and tear is being put on the Ducks core older players with these playoff runs. Take it from a Kings fan, they add up quick. It's part of the reason why the Kings eventually fell off so far. That's why you've gotta make it count, because there's a poopload of mileage being put those bodies that eventually takes its toll. You think Ducks management is patting themselves on the back right now after another promising year and division win resulted in yet another non-finals appearance? Hell, at least the Sharks have made it to the finals now with their current group.
- Woodysdemise

I never thought the Ducks were going to get into the finals. I'm not a blind fan. I was hoping. But I wouldn't ever have bet on it.

The Ducks have been pretty good for about a decade and a half. And now you want us to feel bad about two double-digit playoff win seasons in three years? The same years your team hasn't even won a single game in the postseason? And you want me to be sad about not drafting higher this year (instead of playing 17 playoff games) after having seen a couple of the best playoff games I've ever seen (Games 5 & 7 v. Edmonton) with my own eyes? I was at Staples Center in 2001 when the Kings came back from three down with six minutes left. Was that season a failure? Game 5 eclipsed that one. Our young guys, especially our young defensemen and goalie, just grew up right before our eyes during those 17 games, and you think we should wish we missed the playoffs instead? That's just ridiculous!

The Kings have seriously elite players at center (Kopi), defense (Doughty), and goal (Quick). But their contract situation is so bad they've not won a playoff game in three seasons. And they just fired a good coach and replaced him with his assistant. Way to change things up! The future at Staples Center is as bright as those uniforms.

The Ducks don't tank and rebuild. The Ducks worst contract is nothing like the Kings worst contract. The Ducks just win season after season. They've missed the playoffs twice since 2004. So get used to watching us play every May, and maybe even June. This team is still good, and looks like it will be for a while. Your team certainly doesn't look like it will be available for viewing that late in the season.

Yeah he was irresponsible at times, it's kinda why he was eventually fired. And my definition of quality management would have to be determined by this little thing called a Stanley Cup. ( Old fashioned criteria, right? Lol) He gave us 2. You say Murray heads better management down in Anaheim, correct? Remind me again, how many has Murray delivered as GM?

Who in the hell ever said anything about 'feeling bad' about winning games or series in the playoffs? All I've stated is how when you have a team in its window for winning it all, you have to capitalize or you're left with a bunch of conference final participation awards. ( or division banners)

Wow, finally picking on someone your own size! Most people aren’t into short-sighted ignorance (it’s creepishly annoying), so I’m not even going to answer your questions. He built a Stanley Cup caliber team, and then handcuffed your team for the next decade with frivolous signings and trades, yet you still take pride in a bunch of Kings hoopla propaganda. Glad I know better that to buy your BS.

Have a great time listening Fauxy and watching a bunch of over-payed, under-performing players for the next half decade at least. That seems like a good environment for an egomaniac.

Kings weren't a good team this year. Who the hell would have even wanted to watch this years King's team in the playoffs? Definitely not me. They would have been swept. Instead we get a relatively high draft pick that we'll either use to pick a future impact player or we'll package it for high end talent via trade. The Ducks have now burned half a decade (literally) when they've had a team that should compete for a Stanley Cup. How many division banners are we at now? Seriously? I don't even know. It's literally all for nothing when you don't win the games that actually count the most at the end of the year. The Kings made the most of the great teams they had. That's what champions do. The ducks don't.

You basically did. Just check the quote I copied above.

Oh, and nice to see that after I called you out you made a trip over to the Kings comment section 45 minutes later. You're a sad pathetic troll who can't root for a decent team any more, so you try to bring ridiculous arguments here.

Guess what. We're pretty happy with a team that can compete for the Cup every year. We have hope. You probably still remember what that feels like. We're happy with a shot at the Cup every year. We're happy we're not having to go on other blogs to trash other fan bases so we can feel good about ourselves and our team. We're glad we're not living in the past. Our team is good now. We like that. You act like there are 29 teams that suck every year and if your team is one of those, you should be ashamed of them. We're not ashamed.

Your team is brutal to watch. Your fans are about as trashy as they can get, and you're exhibit A. Your building is crap unless you're rich and can sit below the 1,000 foot elevation level. Your owner is nowhere near as good as the Samuelis are. Your team has a history of sucking except for about 10 years out of more than 50. And you know all of this. Hell, the Kings spent half of their existence in a 12- to 21-team league and couldn't even get to the finals once during that time. Your farm system is depleted. You're in cap hell. You had to strip your captain of his C, and you gave it to a guy who looks like he doesn't care the whole time he's on the ice, unless he's on the power play. There is no hope for your team in the near future, and you know it.

I should feel sorry for you. But you're such a giant douche, I don't. Go have that scintillating discussion about how you might get Nick Suzuki in this draft to save your team on your blog. That should keep you awake. We'll bask in the knowledge that our team will be really good again next season while you try to figure out if you can get Dustin Brown some blow or oxy so you can terminate his contract.

Well, you are on a Ducks blog bashing the Ducks. I really don't care, but others I guess get upset. Would probably happen if the roles were reversed.

I've never taken the accomplishments of the Kings away from them. But, If you were honest, you know winning the Cup requires a lot of factors to line up just right. Bounce here, bounce there. Etc. Yes, the Ducks have fallen short, but I have hope. Otherwise, what's the point of being called a "fan" if I didn't.

Oh, and a side note. Winning a division banner is meaningless. Well, it does give one home ice, but I think the playoffs in general has proven that meaningless. Point being, one can't compete for the Cup if one doesn't QUALIFY for the postseason. So for anyone to suggest sitting home come April 9 is somehow preferable is fooling themselves, even if their beloved team gets eliminated before claiming the ultimate prize. I would much rather play in the postseason every year with the hope of winning the Cup, vs. sitting home. You never know what will happen once you make the dance. The Kings proved it, and Nashville as the #16 seed is proving it this year. Anything can happen.

Maybe you should stop pointing the finger and look in the mirror. Yzer has participated on here for a long time and has written numerous insightful posts about the Ducks that aren't aimed at building up one's ego, but just simply because he's a fan.

I told you a few days ago your attempts to cast doubt only make you look desperate and foolish, but it's clearly a part of who you are. We've shown you the door on numerous occasions, as your one-dimensional writings contribute nothing good here. Get lost!

When the Kings lost to Chicago in 2013 I hated how The Hawks fans came and rubbed it in. With all the discourse in the world, politics and all let's just agree we've both had some pretty good teams to watch which has brought us a great deal of enjoyment the last decade. Ducks underachieved this year. I believe it's the leadership and the dirtiness of their play. Just my opinion!
