For what it's worth, Subban is spending about the same time on ice as he was in Montreal.

I'm not one of those fans saying "WELL AS A #3 D HE'S DOING GREAT! SURE!".

There are basically 4 defensemen in Nashville playing over 22 min and the third pair hovering over 10 min per games.

Subban is just as amazing as he was in Montreal, he's simply playing with 3 other great defenseman instead of relying on a 37 year old Markov and Jeff (frank)ing Petry.

I think even making it to the cup final makes it a given, but it is what it is. Every team makes stupid trades.

Nashville has been one of my favorite teams for years and now that the Hab jersey is off Subban, I don't mind him as much. He still does stuff on the ice that drives me bananas, but there are a lot of those players out there.

I remember when Nonis drafted him he said he thought Nylander was the most skilled player in the draft and their scouting said he didn't play scared.

I think with a draft do over he might go #3 right now behind Ekblad and Draisatl, and ahead of Bennett, Reinhart, Dal Colle, Virtanen, Fleury.

Similarly Rielly right now would be higher than Yakupov, Murray, Galchenyuk and G. Reinhart. So he is like a number 1 overall.

Nonis wasn't all bad.
