Honestly thought the Ryan hit on Ruhwedel was worse.Honestly thought the Ryan hit on Ruhwedel was worse.
Probably, but at what point does someone say" We gotta do something about THIS one!" Does a player literally have to die to get a reaction from the league? This is starting to remind me of the 70's movie Rollerball. All this proves is the league can give a rat's butt less about head injuries and in fact, encourages the actions that leads to them.
All this is doing is setting precedent for when something eventually does happen that destroys a players career, or worse, the league getting sued because they've essentially been complicit with the behavior and enabling of it. There's just too much evidence and proof they have. In this day and age of concussions and injury suits, it's ponderous their stubbornness. If the NFL can't push it aside, they have to be amazing stupid and obtuse to think they can keep looking the other way.
I'd love to see them sued right out of business and another league takes over that's actually in tune with the 21st century (heck, even the 20th century). The fact the NHL is even a top 4 pro sport in spite of themselves amazes me. Could you imagine how great they've be if they had so much as a clue on how to run things and do things properly? |

NHL needs an automatic suspension for head contact rule. I don't care who the player is or what the intent is. They start just tossing guys for headshots it will clean things up quick. When they finally threw the book at Cooke, he studied video and changed his approach because he knew he was gone with another headshot. But I won't hold my breath. |

Well, they did win two in a row and I thought until yesterday that game 4 was their best game of the series. Just came up about 10 minutes or so short of playing a complete game. I'm sensing they are starting to be more consistent, but I'm sure the Sens will throw the kitchen sick at them tomorrow...probably literally. |

Are we all surprised that a league that put Chris freaking Pronger in the safety department is no-commenting on pretty much every single headshot but freaking out about what someone says on the ice? They don't care about safety one bit. They sorta care about PR (mostly keeping the SJW twitter/tumblr mob from tearing them apart... but player on player violence doesn't offend those types, so it's OK) |

Keith Jones actually said he should be suspended. So, the Canadian is the reasonable one and the two Americans have that "Canadian" mentality. |

I'm PO'd Eddie Olczyk ever had anything to do with the Penguins organization and have been since the 2008 playoffs with Detroit where he was about as pro-Detroit/anti-Penguins as you could be without flat out saying he hoped the Penguins would lose. He even wore a Detroit red tie for every game. I bet he's wearing nothing but red ties for this series as well. You'd think he'd show a little neutralness in his attire but has he? Curious. |

Mmm, pretty sure he did back then. Never saw him with anything other than a red tie for every game. |

I think part of the reason this league is so messed up is that more than half the people running it are just about brain dead from the head injuries that they have sustained themselves lol |

Eddie O is a pure hack I would like to see if someone ran him while he was playing and rattled his brain. What a useless tool, not to be critical |

Because having a guy who is at Mar-a-Lago every other week and who criticized Michelle for not wearing a head-covering in Saudi Arabia but whose wife did the same thing is any better? |
