Truculent but damn near useless at hockey.

That can be acquired in free agency for less than EG costs now, not to mention the raise he'll likely get.

If JB can get a 2nd or a project prospect with some upside, it'll be one of his best moves.

Trading EG for a 2nd is about as stupid as it gets he has value around the league despite what the advanced stats geniuses think. Better off qualifying him and trading him for a first plus a prospect at the deadline. I want to keep him but it depends on the contract

I think Guddy will be fine . When you are playing on a crap team it is hard not to have mistakes .

Play with Hutton and have a busted wrist...of course you will suck. Put him with a decent partner and I think he will have a big year.

It is like any player that comes here. Forwards that don't back check a soft team and no speed.

You see 30 goal scores drop to 11 . Core needs to go .82 more games

@Neem. Pronmans list just came out and he has Glass at 4. Don't let facts get in the way of your prospect declarations

Don't forget a new system, that all the defensemen say is overly complicated.

I've changed my thinking and I want Liljegren. I don't think that Glass, Mittelstadt or whomever van drafts for a forward will be worth the same as a 30 plus point projected D man. I would rather draft a forward next year that projects to be a 70-80 point forward who can step in right away then a 60 point one this year.
- manvanfan

I get the thinking. I thought that's what JB did last draft. But not sure Liljegren is anything more then a Chychren. Same projection and then falling in ranks as raved skill set physical abilities were not matched by hockey IQ. Seems same case here with Liljegren observations. Thus, if a Glass or Mittlestadt is there JB should take them instead. They seem to have the higher upside and impact effect over Liljegren.

Is Pronman a scout? Why and how are his opinions facts?

You said one ranking agency has glass in the top 5. That is incorrect

I wouldn't go that far. Guddy was the Panthers best player in the playoffs in their short lived run in 2015/16. Guddy for a second is asinine.

You stick to your boy Edler.

Due to moody hotel internet, this took MUCH longer than I'd anticipated, but I have fresh Edler quotes and insight that will probably please many of you.

It was cool to see him so happy—and I think I like the idea that he is thriving despite being away from the Sedins, basically for the first time since he made the NHL.

I fly home early tomorrow morning so I'm not sure when I'll get to check in with you next...

He's a great defence man but come on? He isn't the be all end all.
