There is not much to choose from here. My guess it would be Gaunce Sbisa or Sutter going
- VANTEL

Gaunce or Sbisa gone is fine but I doubt Sutter is gone. I'm sure Benning will want to assess Sutter under Green for a season.

Let's fit it all together. Van trades a D to Montreal for Byron plus. Van then signs Hunwick. Don't ask me what the "plus" is. I'm not sure what a one year player at 28 is worth.

I would try and sign patrick eaves to a one year deal.

MTL has knocked on Edler before. Maybe he's a fit there?

Sutter has been as advertised. 35+ point player when healthy and he flirts with 20 goals. His first year here was bad luck with injuries I'm thinking if utilized properly under Green they can get more out of him.

Your preaching to the choir I like him. I don't think he will be given a fair chance here though.

Have you ever seen the third top goal scorer of any team get so much hate?

Nope. We destroy solid hockey players here. Edler for example is by far our best defence man and we are all like "He sucks lets take him out back and shoot him"

Edler is a good #3 . Canucks play him as a #1.

Hansen was a great third liner same as Sutter. Canuck play them way out of their skill set.

Canucks have had a history of 3s dressed up as a 9

This is why we need to draft skill and speed.

If Benning drafts Rasmussen I am out until Benning is fired. I think Benning has made poor decisions on 1st round picks other than Boeser. Not a good 1st round track record so far in my opinion.

Wasting my time.

Since he came here he has had a lot of hurdles. He was left a mess. Juolevi is not a bust for me. I think it was a good pick because we need to change out the D.

Vrtanen self imploded so I don't blame JB . But I do get your frustration. This is why I want a nice safe pick like Glass

Juolevi isn't a bust but I think most of us here had Sergachev as the best defence man in the draft. I still think so.

Virtanen did self implode but Jim still interviewed the kid. Also I had 4 guys I would have taken before Jake at 5. Most here did and everyone was kind of like Wtf just happened when Jake was taken.

I hope they all prove me wrong and JB looks like a GM genius in the long run but smart money says no.

From the games I have seen this year Sergachev and Juolevi are really close. Way to early to say one is better than the other. Both are years away from being a top 4

I think OJ will turn into a Salo but he does need a better shot. Very smart kid.

I can agree with that.

Minus the often injured Salo part.

He is 2-3 on first round picks. Not sure why you are concerned we would take a player projected to go at 15 at 5th overall
