He got fat eating junk plain and simple.

Nope. When you are a career-athlete, you can basically eat as much of whatever you want and you're not going to get fat (since you are burning so many calories a day). He got fat by not working out or playing hockey - combined with eating way too much. The Bryant Reeves Summer Special (on a side note, what the hell is it with this city and allowing our athletes to do whatever the hell they want during the summer and come to camp completely unprepared physically - other cities don't put up with this poop).

Also, people really need to go and look at his stats. He's never been particularly good - at any point throughout his entire career. All he's ever had over a decade of hockey is one and a half OK seasons in junior. Just OK. Everywhere else, he's been irrelevant. We threw away an extremely high pick on him. One of the worst picks our team has ever made. There is very little chance that he turns it around. Very little. 20 year olds who have never been a good player - don't magically turn into dominant NHL'ers very often. We picked him because he was big and local (with upside). Not because he was actually good. This damn team almost never selects the best player available, we always do ridiculous crap like this...

I wonder if Carol will be able to add a 0 to her 4% on Edler trade possibility after this game. Perhaps Ek has caught a piece of a rumor with Byron, involving a 3 way trade with Edler, where Canucks get a prospect and pick back. It's prayer Sunday, right?

Unless that prospect is Sergachev and that pick is high, I will vomit if we even touch Byron

You should vomit. Why I said three way trade where we don't get Byron but he goes elsewhere and we get prospect and pick back by sending Edler out. Doubt it will happen but one can hope perhaps these rumors lead to something.

You should look at the bright side. Maybe Edler woke up to joy of winning after so much losing. That his stock went up. That JB sees no players to sign to make team better. So he sees pushing to trade Edler for propects and picks is only way to go.

He is decent but overrated. In a proper redraft he would probably be the 4th or 5th D taken

The Stevston Sealion kidnap has become famous all across news media. Even CNN is reporting on it. Don't feed the wildlife they say. Could be a new motto for Canuck fans in staying away from the team if moves aren't made by the draft.

That moronic family deserved the outcome. The seal should be on our 4th line next year
