With a win today the Pens go up 3-2 in the series..not quite the same as "back in the Finals"
- opeth_pa

Dont get me wrong..I think any team with Crosby on it always has a chance at winning but reality of it is , 3-2 is not the same as 4-2..

Flyers Cheerleader will disagree though.

im not gonna say oh (frank) them theyre gonna lose anyway. obviously i feel better if they close this one out and need one of the last two instead of two of two.

but again, you still need that fourth one.

just wish theyd leave your old boy streit in the lineup.

Go Canada!!! Go Flyers!!!

Something I've been thinking about awhile but I think you guys are gonna hate. Depending on what transpires with the Vegas draft and the NHL draft, I wonder if any of you would be willing to part with Giroux and Voracek in a very Carter and Richards like fashion. I think Simmonds can take over as Captain. I think by trading those two, the return would bring much needed depth to the bottom six, cap space and fast track us to where the Flyers need to be.

- SuperSchennBros

I would trade jake a player who doesn't contribute much if he's not scoring well before I ever consider trading giroux. Giroux can play in all situations and we don't have a replacement. I think we can have people step up and fill Jake shoes even if nobody wants to hear that. His big season has been the outlier of his career thus far not the standard.

Penguins team crippled by injuries is back in the Stanley Cup Finals.

All it took was Sullivan inserting Stolarz in the cage to change the series!

I agree. Giroux is our Captain, a top faceoff man in the entire league, the Angkor to the Power Play and plays all situations. Jake on the other hand is pure offense. His offense would be missed. With this said, by moving both, the Flyers would have to create a new culture in Philly. Open a ew area. I don't think this would be a terrible thing. We would just have to wait until both drafts finish.

Feeling semi sarcastic. But if serious I still don't trade giroux. He can contribute even in the latter stages in his career in different ways and has experience at right wing st the international level. Jake I really think is the worst contract on our team. Could we get a kessel like return for him? If yes I'm sold.

I feel the right time to have moved them both to create this new era that you speak of was right when Hexy took over. Both of their values were at the highest point of their careers. And conveniently enough, our team would have hit that rebuild phase for McDavid + Mathews drafts. Oh well; I'm happy they wear our colors.

Ugh the Penguins again. So tired of them. They don't even look like a team of players gelled together through comradery. Robotic and going through the professional motions. Emotion be damned. The NHL is more than happy to trot that product out for the finals though I'm sure.

Don't worry. Murray will spit the bit in games 6 and 7. He's a fraud.

Game 6 is in Ottawa where the Sens have been very good all postseason. If they can get it to a game 7, all bets are off, as this series has been hard to predict.

yeah i mean everyone is obviously free to dislike or be tired of a team as much as they want. but to say theyre just robotic and going through the motions i dont get.

this is the same team that people blasted for years for being too emotional and undisciplined. now theyre too robotic? malkin and kessel spend half the game screaming at each other in a good way. and dont play for each other? i dont get it.

if anything, robotic and boring is the ottawa trap scheme

you complain about EVERY player the Flyers passed on but do you compliment the players the Flyers find others passed on? seriously its beyond ridiculous.
