What about Georgio Estephan? What is GMJB waiting for? the kid had a monster year in Juniors, let's get that ELC done already.

Mid60s
But Wed & Thur were around 80 & beautiful
It's that time of year where the temp is still going up & down a bit

I like it when it's sunny but still around 60

ROR for Sabres Captain.
Jack and Risto assistants.
Oko rotating assistant when one of the above 3 is out of the line-up

Make it so.

I'm cool with that

Are you serious?
He has FAR more important things he's gotta get through first
Estephan can/will get signed after the draft
It's not like it matters if he signs now or in a month
No need to freak out

Also...
his PPG barely improved from last year
Not a great sign

He is a free agent on June 1st, so it does matter if today or a month from now.

How's buffalo today

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Who the (frank) wants 86º? That's bananas. I'll take Buffalo this week. It was a little warm but yesterday and today are really nice, if a bit chilly, at like 65º.

That's interesting
First I've heard of it

Regardless...
he's got 11 days

I'd imagine right now he's scouting all our players & prospects to determine who he wants to sign
Only get a certain number of contracts
And that takes a while to go through all that
Plus, negotiate w agents

I think ppl on her overrate estephan
He had a good season, but nothing special
Like I said, he barely improved his PPG

I'm not saying we shouldn't sign him...
but ppl are talking like he's got top6 potential
He's got a long way to go
And it's more probable that he's nothing more than a fringe NHLer

So, let's say Antipin works out and he's a solid 2nd pair guy. How much credit does Murray get?

And the flip side, let's say he's Bogoesque. Does he get any blame?

If he works out I think Murray deserves credit. Not a boat load seeing as probably the most obvious reason he signed was guaranteed NHL playing time. But still, if it happens and he's good I'll have a little higher regard for TM.

If he's Bogo again I'll blame TM and Botter...that would be scary.

in 15-16 put up 74 points in 59 games
in 16-17 put up 89 points in 68 games

I figured you were making a joke since those are great numbers for a player picked in the 6th rd in 2015

That was a great race. I hate that horses that didn't run in the Derby are allowed to run in the Preakness or Belmont. Cloud Computing just had more at the end than the others.

Edit: lol even the winning trainer said it was unfair.

Nope... I think ppl on here are wildly overrating this guy
Yes, those are good numbers
But LOTS of guys put up good numbers in Juniors & don't amount to much
What concerns me,
is how he barely improved his PPG from last season to this season
15-16 season, 1.24ppg
16-17 season, 1.31ppg

Good prospects generally take a decent sized step from season to season
These last 2 were basically the same for Estephan

Good numbers? Sure
Sign him? Yeah, of course

I just think ppl have expectations for this kid that are likely unrealistic

Doesn't really make much difference to me either way
If ppl wanna give Murray credit for Antipin, that's cool
If not, whatever
I'm ready to move on from Murray

if anyone is thinking any expectations above a fringe 3rd liner, they are crazy

still a good story, and he may translate well to the nhl if he gets a shot

bolts got lucky with a few guys like him

He's a 6th round pick who is progressing well. You sign guys like that without a second thought as the best way to make sure you stay good for a long time is by having a large pipeline of prospects with the hopes that a few break through consistently and fill out your pro team at cheap cap hits.
