Getting 4 back would be huge. Would be happy to get 17 and 72 back. I think Horn could do some real damage in front of the goal.

I would 100% tell Archibald to run EK or Ryan every chance he gets. Make sure its borderline dirty too, whatever happens, happens.

Sens fans on their page have opened my eyes to some important revelations:
1. It's the playoffs.
2. It's a contact sport and I should get over it.

So getting in the spirit of things, let's hope that Ian Cole "accidentally on purpose" gives Karlsson an injury that takes him out of the series...nothing dirty mind you, just as a result of a "hockey play". Happy Victoria Day!

What do you expect from paid NHL shills on The NHL Network?
- madmike71

One was a goalie who thinks he knows it all, Weeks and the other was that knuckle Dragging idiot Daneyko. What a moron. How do these guys even get a job on TV. THey can't even talk.

I'm a referee for youth high school and collegiate hockey and I hate to even think this, but I can't help but feel the refs are being mandated to do what they can to keep games close and extend series instead of looking out for fair play and player safety.

There's no way in hell penalties should've been 2 to 4 in Ottawas favor last night. We outplayed them and had more puck control. I truly think Bobby ryan should be getting a 1 game suspension but the NHL doesn't have the balls to do that or even comment on the hit.

Put archibald in and hit karllson in the head just like they did...

- JLT168

If Karllson was hit like that all of Canada and Sweden would be calling for the USA to be removed from the NHL because it is not politically correct to injure someone like that. As Cherry calls them a bunch of sweethearts I call them snowflakes which amounts to the same thing

There's been times where I got on Rowney during the season but since he has been inserted back into the lineup his energy has been quite noticeable. His forecheck is relentless and he's made plays on the PK. He may not get his name on the scoresheet but he's been playing well in this series.

Good to see Hagelin play better. That diving play he made might have saved a goal.

Someone let Sheary know the playoffs have started. You can see he has no confidence and is pressing. It's a shame because he played so well in the regular season. Hopefully he will be able to get it going soon.

They've also opened my eyes. It's time for the penguins to rebuild since Crosby is 29 and Malkin is 30.

I was very anti Rowney in the regular season, but he has been really good in the playoffs. Looks like a solid 4th line guy going forward.

So strange no one mentions that. He was whining all Night. CBC also sticking with the narrative that Karlsson Methot pairing is shutting Sid down. Not seeing that at all. Im seeing him make strong plays that have largely been wasted by missed nets and goalposts. I'd say Nisky did a better job shutting Sid down.

Possibly the most encouraging sign to me was how well Daley has played since returning. If they can get Schultz back, we might actually be able to ice an NHL blueline.

See now all the Ottawa princesses are going to read this & go berko because you're saying we should hurt their players. They haven't seen the head shots & charging - we are just whiners & Ottawa only play hockey!! Good solid 'hockey' plays from them. (frank), Methot lost his arm from Sid's slash - remember that??

Edit: most of that should be in sarcasm font - except the losing the arm part - the Sens fans actually believe that!

Those idiot slugs on the NHL network said the Bobby Ryan hit on Wedel was a hockey play. Those idiots should be fired. But who do they work for....the NHL. That is what is wrong with hockey. Even Pierre said that Jake being mugged with 6 punches gets nothing and the interference call on Cole was nothing. The NHL can't find the forest cause there are too many trees hiding it. What a bunch of losers.
And it remains MURRAY TIME

Poor Pageau tried to get in Sid's head. When he couldn't, he just decided to try and take it off instead.

I thought Daley had one of his best games of the whole season last night.

It's possible we might have to ice 6 left handed D if Schultz doesn't come back tomorrow.

Sheary should be taking a seat if Hornie or Rust returns. He won a couple of races in the last game and kept the puck in the O zone. Unfortunately the puck is a grenade on his stick. He simply can't take a pass or hold the puck.

In other news, what did Getzlaf say specifically to get a fine?

If it was the same as Shaw, why didn't he get the same fine & suspension?

If it was '(frank)ing banana eater', why did he get fined? Will the NHL fine people for calling others 'pillow biters'?

Anyone know what he said?

I wonder if you said 'you hold hands with a man', you would be sanctioned?

Wow, how crazy. You can elbow a guy in the head but you can't call him names??.

(frank)ing crazy league!!

I can't believe players don't engage lawyers to defend them when ever they get charged with anything? The first thing teams do here when a player is charged is get on the blower to their lawyer. Crazy. Did I say I thought it was all crazy??

Chad Ruhwedel was blasted in the head by Bobby Ryan. The following tweet sums up the events nicely.

It was a clear missed call.

A missed call? Oh no, that hardly ever happens.

The same Karlsson whose career was almost ended by Matt Cooke? That Erik Karlsson?

Real good choice of player for your hypothetical situation...

Well to be quite honest, from what I've seen around the NHL & the remarks by 'professionals', when an incident occurs & a player is injured the following usually occurs;
1. The player denies any responsibility
2. The player laughs at any accusation he intended to injure & any injury was accidental
3. The player points out in his defence he wasn't even looking at where the injury is
4. It was a hockey play that happens every game
5. He denies he's a dirty player - he's just plays hard (Cooke may have difficulty getting that one across the line)
6. When it's pointed out skates aren't sliced across ankles - see points 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Now just to elaborate, how long ago was that injury? Looks like EK is playing pretty good now & recently. How many Achilles' tendon injuries are there each year & how many end careers?
