Funny how some of these guys look better in IIHF play when the hockey is lower end and barely any hitting…like Tanev looked so good and was praised by all his teammates. But yet they accomplish nothing here other than munching minutes on the ice.

I guess it's all on how you look at it, I would say it's only lower end because not all of the top end talent is available at this time of the year.
The hitting in hockey is relative, it is in both leagues but at different intensity. I enjoyed the earlier game, and I'd rather see bigger ice, goalies allowed to play the puck in the corners, hit if you want, but you could get burned by your actions.

Fair enough and you bring up good points.

Could be because all of the talent level is not available…but I always found it to be lower grade even if many of the top end superstars are there…nothing like the Olympics of course but still…low intensity levels for me anyways.
