Can't give the kid an f, he didn't play for months at a time. How can you expect him to be ready after that? Incomplete is the fair grade, the f should go to snow for that.

On Isles and Avs trade rumor...

This has been kicking around for a while now, but I am told the Isles and Tavares really want to land Matt Duchene and could be offering up Hamonic, Halak (half salary) and one of their top offensive prospects. I haven't gotten a name yet, but I was told that he is player who could "step right into the Avs lineup

I know it's ek but what player can step right in and play? Beau? Jhs? Barzal....noooo?

Well if they want to make a splash and barzal is part of the package for Duchene I'm not sure how I feel about that. Duchene is proven but I love barzals upside. Halak, hamonic and beau I could do. I hate to get attached to a player as a prospect and I suppose if duchene comes here it will help attract other players too

Another advantage to Barzal is his more favorable cap hit. His entry level contract will be peanuts compared to Duchene's. Yes, we can LTIR Grabo, but it might be better to retain that flexibility for later on .....
