I'd hope he will go back and remove it or edit it. Because that was tasteless on many levels. |

If the team was run by robots who don't care about anything other than graphs, charts, and analytics, the Murrary would be the starter. But fortunately, since the team is run by people who value intangible things such as trust, loyalty, and perseverance, I have every belief that they will start MAF tomorrow, which is the right call, regardless of the outcome. MAF has earned his place in the net. |

The analytics nerd stuff shows MAF as the 3rd best player in the entire playoffs so far...

No Capitals in top 10 and the over-rated Oshie is their top player. This doesn't match what Tanner has been telling us, not sure I can allow it as valid analytics nerd stuff. |

You love Tanner so much you decided to talk about him in a totally unrelated discussion. Good job. |

I was wondering what it would do to the Pens' dressing room if they make a switch. It appears that Fleury is beloved by his teammates.
What do you Pens fans think about that aspect of a goalie switch? |

Regardless of personnel this team needs to get the lead. Make OTT open up a bit and take chances. Biggest factor in this series is going to be can the Pens get an early lead and make OTT come out of their D-Zone Bunker Down Shell.
In order to do that they've got to get some bodies in front of Anderson and get some shots from the slot......high or low. Everything to this point has been low danger shots/scoring chances hence 1 goal/game. - 98Grad
You just explained how the 'system' works in your second paragraph. Your team is letting us dominarte you if that is what you see. Boxes well for our future.
Honestly fellas, the fact you have a goalie controversy after giving up 8 goals in 3 games shows your offense is the problem. But keep shifting the blame away from 87 81 and 71 where it belongs, it's worked well for us so far. |

There shouldn't be any goalie controversy. That's the least of our problems. Don't think the Pens see it that way either. |

There is no goalie controversy lol falling into false narratives. Fleury is fine, and has played fine, and earned his right to stay in the game. That being said, Murray, does have the better numbers this season, and is probably a more talented goalie. Regardless of who starts, and I could careless who does... this team goes nowhere without goal scoring and puck movement from the back end. But Sully's stubbornness to keep Hainsey as a top pairing dman, and Daley with Maatta very well could doom the Pens. Their D is a dumpster fire, and the coach isn't trying to do anything to fix it. |

I agree the goalie is not the big issue, it is scoring AND the D. If Sully is sticking with the system speed and pinching D and strong forechecking, then how about these D pairs(assuming Shultz is out):
Cole-Streit
Maatta-Rhuwedel
Dumo-Daley

I could get down with that.. buut.. I dunno about Streit getting top line minutes, if that's what you're expecting. |

Big surprise that the team's 10 minutes of absolutely not giving a crap would be the impetus behind people taking a piss all over Fleury.
Analysis = wait around for something to happen that supposedly "confirms" a long-held opinion.
How about the Penguins best players start doing something in this series? That would be quaint. |

I don't care who starts in net, if they play like that it won't matter. The Pens look tired, they need some fresh legs in there. I don't know who you can bring in, but I would take a serious look at Sprong. You have 3 goals in 3 games, something needs to give. I think Daley is done, and he should be. I am not a fan of Streit, but Daley has been awful. I pray Schultz can play in game 4, but him not practicing today isn't a good sign. |

Yup, if they only score one goal it doesn't matter if both MAF and Murray are in goal at the same time.
The scoring problem goes back to the Washington series as well. Sure there are injuries but even the players that are healthy, or healthier, are doing nothing like Bonino and Sheary. |

There is no good answer. I think Dumo and Cole and then Rhuwedel and Maatta have been the best D of the remaining. But all of them but Rhuwedel play left D. I think those are the right 6 D at this time. Have some offensive minded D with a more defensive minded on each line. Spread out the puck movers. Streit did well, I thought. The coaches did a good job of spreading the D minutes last game, I'm sure they could protect Streit by putting him on the PP & giving him less Even Strength minutes.
I did hear though that Daley was practicing with the first PP today. |
