Johannsen out for the rest of the playoffs. Does that pretty much end the Preds hopes???

Torn thigh muscle i believe that required immediate surgery. i saw the majority of that game and i can't recall the play he was injured on. Don't even remember them showing a replay of it. One of those mysterious non-contact injuries we see in football a lot lately???

I'll take "Recency Biased Knee Jerk Reactions" for 400, Alex.

You know, the Pens have $38M tied up in their top 5 players? Two of them aren't currently playing, one has been out the entire playoffs. They're 6 wins from their 2nd straight Stanley Cup.

More than one way to win a Cup. When Ottawa wins three with small ball, get back to me.

I disagree with your premise. I believe Hartmann (1yr NHL experience), Panarin (2yrs NHL experience), Panik (3 yrs NHL experience) have potential to get better and that will in fact make the team better.

The same for Kempny, Schmaltz, Forsling, Hino, Hayden, Kero, and Motte.

Take a look at Ottawa. Half their team makes less than $2mil. Without a lot of superstar players they are giving the Pens fits (and already between the Bruins and Rangers)

Pittsburgh won last year with a lot of good young role players.

+100. Half of this board complains that the Hawks are too old and expensive, and then turns around to suggest trading away young promising players for 35-year old retreads.

Great game by the Preds tonight. Great display of character, heart, and stamina. Anyone wearing the Indian Head next fall should take note.

No preference on cup winner, as long as none of Kesler, Bieksa, Perry, Getzlaf, or Carlyle do not hoist the Cup.
