Of the bigger 90s grunge bands (AIC, Nirvana, STP, Soundgarden), Pearl Jam is the only one whose original lead singer is still alive. That's my youth right there.

MAF on the road is really not consistent. He could show up and then again he could show up just like he did tonite. HE DID NOT. Four Goal Fleury showed up. He looked like he was changing his kid's diaper.

Yeah, it was all MAF's fault. God, you are such a tool. He's been their MVP of the playoffs, and you only make comments about him when he loses. Your act is so predictable and tired.

I'd put maybe the 2nd goal on him, but the entire team took the night off. When you're giving up point-blank chances and there is blown coverage everywhere, pucks are going to end up in the net. I won't absolve him fully, and he definitely over-committed on the wrap-around, but the defense did him no favors.

The wrap around was bad, he didn't make much of an attempt. That being said, I believe Hainsey pretty much watched the whole play unfold.

Yep, he just kind of stood covering no one (there was another Pen player next to him as well) and didn't react until the puck was in the net. Like I said, he over-committed, but probably figured they'd stop a wrap-around when it's a 1-on-3.

Streit had a bit of a rough start, (which can be forgiven due to not playing in a month) but I think he handled himself OK for the rest of the game.

Stop sucking up to other teams fans on these boards... Be proud and have confidence... I hate when our fans say they don't believe we will win...

Who's sucking up?

There is a big difference between being confident in your team.....which I am.......and being an overconfident ass hat, who trolls other teams after wins but who are nowhere to be seen after a loss and who always end up looking like idiots at the end of the day......which I'm not.

Do I have confidence that the sens will win this series.......yes

Am I so confident that I'm going to start declaring the series over after game 3 and write off a team that has Crosby, Malkin, and kessel......not a (frank)ing chance

That might have been Hagelin's least effective game in a Pens uni. I forgot he was playing.

Oh I agree, he was far from perfect, but the only goal I really put on him was the last one (the wraparound). The first one is a bad bound off the board, the second was an own goal from Cole, and the third was a back door tap in. I just don't like guys who refuse to give someone any credit when they do well but pounce the moment they have an off night, especially considering how key MAF has been to their success so far. With all the injuries and issues with this D, there are some nights that they are just going to get blitzed. Whether the team has the wherewithal to summon up something more should certainly be doubt...there are sometimes they just look spent, and those instances are occurring more often. Attrition is taking its toll and kudos to Ottawa for pouncing on them last night.

I think the message is that unless you come in here and act like a 12 year old, maple syrup covered douchschnozzle, you are a sell out.

Get stuffed buddy, the Pens have been decimated by injury all season. Go post on your own board with your 6 fans that post there. This series isn't over and when the Pens come back next game, and they will, we will see what you have to say then. We never said that Ottawa was going to roll over and play dead for the Pens. By the way, us Pens fans are allowed to be frustrated and vent on our own boards.
- TaxMan22

Sorry, I didn't know you were the king of the internet. Does this mean there's going to be a turf war?

Venting is one thing but at some point you have to give credit where it's due. The Pens had a crap game and the score was 5-1, Ottawa had a bad period and lost 1-0 there is a very big difference there. Whining that your team is decimated by injury is such a crap excuse. We have some major injuries too, hell our captain is playing with a broken foot and has been for two months. If you want to rely on excuses go ahead but that shows that the Pens are a) unable to overcome adversity and b) a shallow team. Don't pretend that you guys are the first team to ever have injuries to your top guys when it really matters.

Ottawa is bringing a game your players don't like so you all act like we're cheating cause we're shutting down your offence. Nowhere in the rule book does it say a team's super stars have to be allowed to score a million goals Pens fans just don't like when their league leading scorers are out to lunch. Boring? I hardly think a close conference final is boring cause the game isn't over till the last whistle. It's called tactics and right now ours are working. Does this mean the Pens are dead, not by a long shot but i do think the Sens are getting the job done right now.
