thanks buddy. sounds like a plan on our end - stayinthefnnet
What can you do though? You will never get proper value trading one of those stars - especially Letang. I'd take your chances every year. Always a shot to win it all.
Call me insane, but if possible I'd try to take a run at Shattenkirk. Continue to to all in with that core. |

down 5-0, they run murray and hainsey just stands there... terrible hockey player and terrible teammate. punch someone in the face, we are getting embarrassed - buckster2342
Everyone acted like this was a good deadline deal...he is a loser..always has been. Listening to this turd talk on the players behalf during the lockout made me hate him forever. Just a Richard that hasn't won a damn thing. |

If any team can come back from this, IT is the PENS!
If that doesn't happen, maybe they can get their D some practice or get the powerplay warmed-up for the next game!
You guys know, I'm a big penguin's fan. But sometimes you just have to laugh.
Please tell me Kessel doesn't fight like this:

He's miles better than what we're currently icing. He's gonna ask more than he's worth though. He'll be a Rag, then we can all hate him together! |

This approaches (and may even exceed before the nights out) the 5-2 loss to the caps. but as we know, the pens rebounded nicely from such a devastating loss. Lets hope some bodies get back out there |

The issue with the Rangers is exactly the opposite of yours. Their core is simply not good enough. A bunch of secondary guys that Henrik covers up for.
They will win a few games or a couple rounds but they aren't getting over that hump any time soon. The fact that they refuse to admit it is hilarious. |

Hope we get some players back for next game. Especially Hornie. Andersen has it too easy. Pens need to cut out the east/west crap at the blue line. It's not working. Put the puck on net and crash.
And for gawd sake, just end Sheary's season. Guy is worse than useless. Archibald can at least stay on his skates. |

whoa haha im super pissed and just glum right now, but i am in no way advocating blowing anything up whatsover. these injuries suck for sure. and admittedly, im of the mindset they need to look into a defensive addition. i think shat at least deserves having the tires kicked on him, but i just think hell cost too much.
that being said, the window is still very much open. regardless of how this painful to watch series ends, theyre looking at another three years of still being right there in my opinion. give me letang, schultz, and rust right now, and i'd like their chances against anyone. |

exactly. people saying he is absolute trash are wrong. hes a pretty decent player and would do well in pittsburgh. but he just isnt worth 7 mil a year. he isnt worth that on any team in my opinion, and he certainly isnt to the pens with their salary structure.
i am curious to see the discrepancy between what hell get and what schultz will get though. granted i know there are some factors at play such as the UFA RFA dynamic, but still. |

We definitely need Letang insurance. I'd also love to get a couple of bigger players. I just hate always getting roughed up every year. Nobody to return the favor.

See how effective rowney is. Can't help but think if we get hornie back and we ice kuhnackl instead of sheary we are way better up front. |

They don't out talent us up front regardless. Gotta play the guys that can help the D battle and defend. Sheary is not that guy. |

Yeah i just think a heavy forechecking grind guy is best for this series. We got those bodies. Been dying to see 34 in this series. |

look at kunitz on the malkin line. he isnt exactly crushing it, but he isnt single handedly ending possessions. sheary is.

At least Sid shut Hughson up. That was getting annoying. Streit is our best defender right now. |

Kunitz is effective without scoring. He's a Richard and likes to hit, he also doesn't treat the puck like a grenade. The guy still knows how to play. He should borrow Cullen's wheels should Cullen retire. |

Lol no doubt. I feel like sid and sully both have too big a soft spot for sheary. And sully def has a boner for hainsey. We gotta check the feelings at the door here and give others a shot. Two absolutely dreadful games like this where both of those players are amongst the worst on the team. Let them watch from up high |
