I get the feeling that Nashville will go through Ottawa like a hot knife through butter.

But in the meantime, Ottawa fans should enjoy the ride.

And yeah, this Ottawa team has a certain somethin' somethin'.

Antenna, like physical antenna?
- Aetherial

Yeah little interior digital antenna ($50ish) good to get CBC, CTV, Global, Omni, TVO and a few others all HD. Been so good I might get a exterior one to pickup channels across lake Ontario (Buffalo stations)

*Edit, something like this is perfect if in Toronto (I am in East York) but same thing.

Let's hope not, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the playoffs next year.
- winsix

They will be in the mix with a bunch of other teams for a playoff spot, just like this year.

I think their window is now, because everything has broken their way. That is unlikely to happen again and the talent on that roster is nowhere near enough to be consistently in contention.

Buffalo, Carolina, Tampa(!), Florida(!) and Philadelphia may all be better.

The Leafs could go either way... injuries and sophomore slumps on one side, improved defense on the other side.

Guelph

Whenever I look at channels i can get with an Antenna, I see like 1, maybe 2 the father of one ofmy son's friends told me he gets 11 or 12 HD channels though, and he is just down the street. So when I cut cable this September, I may try an antenna, but it will be a much more major operation to get one going in Guelph.

From watching all the teams play, I agree.

but luck is a huge factor. I think a Healthy Pens team can beat either Nashville or Anaheim. That ain't happening this year.

- BKups

Ottawa didn't sellout an ECF game? Yikes.
- Soshnikov

Yes it did... A sell out in Ottawa is considered 18,500, attendance was close to 18,700... How is that not sell out?

I'd consider a sellout being all seats sold.

I'm of the opinion that it wouldn't have mattered which party took office, it's an absolute disaster down there. The country is incredibly divided and the government doesn't do anything but bicker about politics—nothing ever gets done.

The two governing parties in the US are essentially interchangeable, yet have created a massive divide that prevents the majority from noticing that they basically all vote for the same party and demanding real change. At the same time, they have basically allowed corporate interests and the media to dictate the outcomes of elections and as it turns out, even post-election is not safe.

The sheer scale of the con job is breathtaking, and they happily participate in it. I truly wonder how much longer they can sustain.

For someone from Ottawa - rather incredulous how little you know about US politics. The truth is - alot (mostly really bad) of laws, rules etc have be enacted since Trump was elected. Since the Republicans have majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate there is nothing to stop them from passing any idiotic law. Trump has signed more bills in the first 100 days than any President since Truman. Trump will not be impeached by his own party, therefore, in the likely event that the 2018 Senate election gives the Democrats a majority, Impeachment proceedings will likely start. This means unless he is charged and convicted criminally, and forced to resign, he will stay and keep doing what he is doing until the Senate gains a Democratic majority.
