I like Bautista, but ya...dont flip the bat in that situation.
But he clearly said it was his bad when he spoke to the catcher.
Pillar...what did you do?
Say it aint so Chris.
What a voice, what a talent. - Fakepartofme
I think Pillar will be fined, you can't say things like that in 2017 |

I simply cannot express how much I am NOT OK with the Sens and their (frank)ing despicable fan base winning a cup. - Scabeh

How in the F, did the Pens beat the Caps. Teams a mess with these injuries, got to give some credit to the Sens, they're playing well but if they were playing the Caps I think they would get rolled.
Good for Karlsson though and the Dion vs Philly Kessel is funny to watch them take whacks at one another. |

Really? Wow, that's embarrassing... What the heck is wrong with people in Ottawa? I could see this if they were playing a nobody team, but they are playing Crosby and the pens and they can't sell out? Holy crap... - Hockey_Reverend

This is no disrespect to the Leafs, I think you should have 'deserved' winning the series from the Caps but maybe the Metro teams in general didn't show up. The tank of the Pens was clearly empty after 4 games against the Caps, they were lucky the Caps (who also didn't play that well) chocked again in game 7.
They can still beat us it but no way they will get it done in the finals. |

It's true....
though I have to say I probably listened to about four hours of Soundgarden yesterday while plugging away at work, so it's particularly fresh... and eerie.
My personal favourite song to have Cornell's name attached to it:

didnt mind soundgarden, but really like audioslave.
I've also really been enjoying Chris Cornell's cover songs lately, such great arrangements.
what a great voice and nice guy. |

Quick pitches, all the coo kids are doing it!
But I think "bumhole" would have been a better choice of words.

Absolutely. They'll all hit really well soon and they're close to the wildcard.
Still early. |

That is quite embarrassing to be honest. I don't understand why. Ticket prices are obviously too high but that is not an excuse. - DutchSenators
Because Ottawa is a tiny town, with no real industries to it.
It has a little bit of high-tech.
Other than that, it's a government town - meaning they don't have a lot of corporate money to spend on tickets.
And Harper gutted the civil service - there's simply less people with good jobs.
And to top it all off, the arena is 700 km out of town, and you have to take a goat path to get there, and more importantly, that same goat path to get back home after the game.
Hell, I'm surprised Ottawa can sell 10,000 tickets for a weekday game in February.

Saw him in MTL couple years back the day after they played a festival show in Quebec City.
I had a genuine concern that maybe his voice wouldn't be the greatest for my show considering the way he wails.
I was totally wrong, he absolutely killed it. Could sing like almost no other rock singer. |

Probably. Subban, Ellis, Josi, Forsberg and Ekholm will most likely get injured before game 1 |

I would be very surprised if the Leafs were interested in him at all - senstroll
I was thinking exactly the same thing. What do they want with Alzner as a free agent.
Now, if money were not an option, I could see Shattenkirk as a free agent because they do need a better point presence on the powerplay, but someone is going to over pay for him and I hope it isn't the Leafs. |

I sometimes wonder if he actually has sources…and if his sources just lie to him to laugh at what he blogs about. - Tumbleweed
I am sure he knows some media guys, and maybe a trainer or two.
The thing is, the whole concept of "insiders" is completely absurd.
There are not people out there who are privy to phone conversations between GM's or sitting in on personnel planning meetings ... and then sharing that info.
If anything significant gets leaked, it would be pretty easy to figure out who leaked it and that person would not be a source any more.
I am sure there are opinions. I am sure that there are situations that everyone can see that lead to the likelihood of a trade (e.g. JVR for an Anaheim Dman). That trade may never happen, but sometimes stuff does make sense.
Bobby Mac is acknowledged as probably the most connected insider in the game and he actually reports very little. In fact, he speculates infrequently, and really only breaks anything very shortly before it is common knowledge.
The character of "Eklund" as a person with inside information into the dealings between teams is a complete fabrication. |
