Yes Nucks hoped they got a better lotto draw. But don't see the gain for them to give up a propect, pick and take on bad contract for 3OA. Who's so superior at 3 that they can't find at 5? They are happy with any of the top C that don't get picked up like Glass and Mittlestadt. But if they are gone then they go D. So don't see motive for trade up on Canucks.

Plus Stars motive isn't to get more futures in trading 3OA. They want a win now deal in an NHL player if they were to deal.

Id have to say mittelstadt. But it could other way too....makar/heiskanen/liljegren w 3oa and glass with 5oa. Depends on what JB values more D or C

as I said there is possibility that 1oa or 2oa does a surprise pick or leaves 1 of nico or nolan available. Some rankings have had nolan at 5oa after all. with kovalchuck coming back NJ may pick a D? Maybe nucker knows what flyers need

Minny are looking at moving Granlund and Neiderrieter . I would look up that alley for some kind of a trade.

They are screwed and up against the cap . Both are RFAs and the expansion draft may force them to make a deal. This is where you look at taking back a bad contract.

Sure as long as that doesn't involve giving up draft picks and prospects.

Plus there are a lot of teams between 3-17 willing to give up their pick for an established NHL player. So other then top pick Tanev. JB should be looking to convince Edler, Sutter and LE to waive. If there is a taker JB can retain salary. Plus take on a Cap dump contract too.
