Wow, I feel the opposite. I would far rather have RNH.

RNH was behind Draisatl and McDavid and therefore had his role changed.

Eberle was give opportunity with those two guys and still poop the bed.

- Aetherial

I think people are more disappointed in Eberle's production not rising considering who he had the chance to play with. Fact is, this player has managed to produce decent numbers steadily over the years, no matter how bad the Oilers were at some point.

He had horrible playoffs but he's had his "clutch" moment before in his career.

I dunno, I've never been a RNH fan, always found him too frail and not the kind of player I'd want to invest in... Maybe I see him for less than he's actually worth.

Klefbom/Larsson were the top pairing this year.

Most of the fanbase crucified that trade at first. They were afraid we would really miss Hall's offence, and his other more subtle abilities like rushing 1-on-3 and losing the puck, falling down and losing the puck, trying to pass cross-seam and losing the puck and getting hurt almost every single year.

and here I thought you were one of the firsts Golden Knights fans, just merely an Oilers fan in disguise.

I think he is overpaid but a good piece. His upside is probably #3C on a very good team, #2C on a decent team, and #1C on a bad team.

I see Eberle as *maybe* a 2nd line winger, on an average team, not fit for 1st line duties on pretty much any team, and not tough enough or responsible enough for the bottom 2 lines.

and RNH is a center

You needed a vison and great scouting from everyone.

....

Or the official draft list.

- Scabeh

No, no, no.. It took way more than that.

Chiarelli leaned heavily on the Edmonton Sun sports section and also needed to rely on Wayne Gretzky saying McDavid will be the next Gretzky

If the Habs have proven anything, it's that you don't need centres to win your division.... get eliminated in the first round and female dog all summer about it.

It's all relative. I mean some people felt that Looch would score 30/70 playing on Mcdavids wing, despite common sense telling them how unlikely this was even playing with Mcdavid.

Eberle is what he is. Basically a pure offence guy that vanishes against big, physical teams. I've always liked him but he was beyond invisible in the playoffs and his regular season production has plateaued in the 20/50 range. I"m still hoping he can get on board with new team philosophy but he might be too ingrained in the old system. In any case, I doubt he's back next year. Draisaitl and Mcdavids upcoming contracts have all but assured that.

Soon according to Georges Laraque.

I honestly do not know if it'll happen.

The Habs need for a center is really bad.

Would you entertain trading Price, considering what he is going to cost and for how long.

I am not even sure I can think of a good trade for Price for a C. You would want like Matthews or McDavid and couldn't get either.

Price for Scheifele? Winnipeg is stacked but has bad goaltending.

For the Jets, that leaves Bryan Little as your #1C.

The problem with trading Price is that he's still a UFA-to-be in a year.

There is absolutely no way you're going to get anything close to his real value to our team by trading him today.

Habs need to resign Price, he's their best player and will give a decent roster a chance to remain competitive for years to come. Gotta keep him and hope his play + an improved roster will give the Habs the cup.... it's their best chance really... for the next 4-5 years at least.
