If that's where you get news from, you need help. Check out Ek's playoff predictions. He predicted the Leafs would miss the playoffs, and finish with 87 points one week before the end of the season. The only predictions he got right were the ones made after games were played. - winsix
Pretty sure some of them were wrong. Teams were finishing with less wins than they already had.
That was the biggest embarrassment in a very long list of his total fails. |

You're not suggesting Eklund isn't reliable are you? He runs the site and even appeared on a Sportsnet trade deadline show one year. - TheTaoOfSemenko

Gotta give him credit, not every GM would have won the lottery like he did. - Scabeh
... or trade Hall for a #4 D, and had almost an entire fan base convinced it was a good trade.

I think the stain that is the back half of his career in Boston should cancel out any accolades he receives |

I'll give him even more credit if he can make the long term $6 million contracts of Eberle and RNH disappear.

He's broken many stories over the years and has a lot of sources within the league. He single handedly saved the Predators and has thr orstrtl. - TheTaoOfSemenko

I remember looking at some point late into the season and the Oilers defensive stats were EXACTLY the same as the previous year. Talbot did well but McDavid and Dry Saddle carried the poop out of that team. |

Eberle is very possible considering he's actually a good player (a tad overpaid but good player).
RNH on the other hand.... THAT would be impressive. |

Klefbom/Larsson were the top pairing this year.
Most of the fanbase crucified that trade at first. They were afraid we would really miss Hall's offence, and his other more subtle abilities like rushing 1-on-3 and losing the puck, falling down and losing the puck, trying to pass cross-seam and losing the puck and getting hurt almost every single year. |

He completely vanished in the playoffs. Only thing that might make him somewhat valuable is that he only has a couple years left.
RNH has added a lot of other elements to his game that make him more valuable than Ebs. Yeah the offence suffered but he's bought into the concept of everyone playing both ways. Eberle hasn't.

Valiev has never been impressive when I saw the Marlies.
Nielsen was only OK. He had flashes early in the season (not games I saw). but whenever I have watched him, he really hasn't stood out. I honestly don't know where he fits, bottom pairing one day, fill in on the second pairing? - Aetherial
neilsen is still so young. i'd give him 1-2 more years with the marlies. |

Nobody gives him nearly enough credit for picking the best player in a generation. |

Wow, I feel the opposite. I would far rather have RNH.
RNH was behind Draisatl and McDavid and therefore had his role changed.
Eberle was give opportunity with those two guys and still poop the bed.

Nylander, Kapanen and a 1st should do it. - TheMussel
