I liked Soundgarden as a kid but I honestly liked his work with TOTD and Audioslave better. One of the last great rock voices. Sucks.

I still like Soundgarden but you're right his TOTD and Audislave were better. Either way it's a big loss for the music industry and his fans.

Big loss for the fans....his contributions to the music industry on a large scale took place 25 years ago. He's a legend for sure, but its not like there were millions waiting for his next release.

When I was in Highschool in the early 90's, everyone loved going to see live bands from Hall shows, to club shows to arena concerts....kids these days are more into Hip Hop and digital trash...not to mention Beiber and Miley n poop. Kids just dont like rock music anymore. Fags.

Nope. Us Ukes like our perogies bland, with a touch of salt.

Soundgarden and Audioslave are two different entities from two different eras of life.

Soundgarden is his loud brash grunge where Audioslave is his more melodic rock.

Temple of the Dog was a one off. It was more Andy Woods/ Motherlovebone style than Chris Cornell

To see his true range listen to his solo stuff where he goes from original stuff from the Singles soundtrack, to covers of Sinead O'Conner and Led Zepplin to original stuff post Audioslave.

So true. I know people who have had parent's/loved ones pass away, and they actually care more about Paul (frank)ing Walker... I don't get it. That's it though I suppose.

Eh, most celebrities I chalk it up to "oh well they're just another person". Like yeah it sucks but it's life.

But when it's someone who has an affect on your life like Cornell did mine, I don't know. It's different.
