Which players are you referring to? Every player I have mentioned previous (andersson, Karlsson, Upshall, Cullen, Winnik, Beagle, are all 4th line players). If we are about Chaput/Megna/Skille than that is exactly my point. They don't crack 4th line on most rosters so why re-sign them. - Codes1087
All those players you mentioned avg more like 12-14 min and get pp time and/or play on skilled lines. Anderson for example broke out this year offensively playing mostly with Karlsson and Calvert/Jenner on the 3rd line.
Cullen played on the 4th line but gets some pp time.
Maybe it just comes down to the definition of 4th liners but imo this guys are poor examples. |

I think the Canucks rank prospects in their range as follows:
Mittle
Glass
Makar
I'd be surprised if we don't end up with Glass. I'm ok with that. Go Ducks |

I don't see the urgency to sign Skille. There are plenty of younger RFA's to make decioms on first. Then there is camp to see what prospects are ready. If Skille wants to hang around for a PTO then that's fine. But there are plenty of other priorities and he's not one of them IMO.
As for Miller. Neutral to it. As in don't mind but not for term or big $ as must leave cap space. It's not like he has a whole lot of options that work for him either. So the urgency again is not needed. As suggested, there are other possibilities percolating. Asset management is jeopardized, if picks or prospect assets used in goalie trade, especially before the expansion draft. It puts Marky in Vegas cross hairs and dilutes a shallow prospect and draft pool. |

Pretty good bet that's JB's list from all his comments on what he sees for 5OA. |

Interesting. I wonder about Dallas at #3.
Over the past 5 years they've picked #25, 12, 14, 10, 13 with their 1st round picks.
Their highest pick #10 they took Nichushkin, which hasn't worked out.
Purely speculation, but I wonder if they take a safe pick (not a HS kid) and go with Vilardi or Glass themselves.
oh. and go preds. |

You have a good point. Stars are a big question mark. In no order of preference they face:
Option 1. They could go with D in Heiskenan.
Option 2. Closer to NHL ready and power forward capable Vilardi.
Option 3. Highest potential C that fits their play style in Mittlestadt.
If it's C then. Who could be ready to replace Spezza when his contract and effectiveness wanes. If D who will fit with the make up of D prospect group coming up.
Like we have said D and C drive builds for teams. So this is the question what do they like better? But any pick is not for their retool. Which they need now. Which lends me to Option 4. Trade for immediate top pairing D needs. |

Dallas will take Mittelstad or Heiskanen if they want to go safe imo. They always seemed to be linked to Mittle
Edit. I just don't buy Vilardi as the 3rd best prospect. He has some Draisatel to him but his skating is just to poor to draft at 3 |

Better for game that Smashville mania spreads around the South. SoCal fan base isn't going to grow anymore then it has already no matter their teams success. |
