The big thing is Embiid's health. When he plays, he's a top 15-20 player in the league already. The team is just so young though. It's hard to win in the NBA with such a young team. The T'Wolves experienced that last year.

I think either way we are getting a potential #1 center. It definitely puts the timetable further along than it was last month.

I can't say with Vecchione because he's brand spanking new and I drafted. I didn't think he stood out in game 81.

I really believe we're getting Nolan Patrick. I think the Devils need explosive offense, I would be turned off by the Patrick injuries somewhat and I think they have a Patrick in Pavel Zacha.

Vecchione is a real x factor for the bottom 6. If he can come in and contribute it will give them lots of options of where to go with other guys. Way too early to tell though.

And yeah, I agree with all those reason why the Devils should take Nico over Nolan. But this is the Devils we're talking about. They don't always make the most sense.(I mentioned this before but I still cannot believe they took Zacha over Provorov)

Well you've got Lindblom for that, don't you. They'll have Jake, Simmonds, Schenn, Konecny and Lindblom. If we got Duclair I just feel like he would add to the log jam of guys fighting for 4th line roles at this point.

Meh. Maybe if you want to bring in Duclair as the 4th line LW. I honestly don't see any reason why he would be getting more ice time than Schenn or Lindblom. I also very much doubt Nico or Nolan are playing 4C if they make the team. Nico would probably start on the wing if he makes it. Nolan as the 3C.
