With rychel and leispic having to clear waivers this year and kapanen pushing for a roster spot, we’re already looking to be above the 23 man roster.

I expect at least 1 if not 2 deals that we package 2-3 players for 1.

I agree, Leafs will be active. Have a feeling the days leading up to the expansion and amateur drafts will be very interesting, unlike the snoozefest that is the coverage of trade deadline day.

Roster limit will be an issue... 50 contracts won't. Uncle Lou already proved he knows how to escape that problem by moving a bundle of AHL guys for a bad contract.

I still gotta believe the best opportunity for the Leafs to improve their d-core is through a JvR ++ for a defender or perhaps its a multi-player package going both directions. Anaheim and Minny are the most obvious targets due to the expansion draft and LA plus a couple of others who be re-tooling.

Hyman will sign for 3 years $1.5- 2 million per.
