He's a pretty polarizing player so he has his haters to begin with. Plus, it's no coincidence that two of our biggest rivals and the two teams that he reportedly spurned In favour of edm (van/cgy) are often the fan bases most critical of the deal. And fans HOPING it turns out bad of course, and implying it's fact already..

He's a beast no doubt but he doesn't run around like kassian for example.
he picks his spots and often uses his size in front moreso than for pure violence

Generally speaking, It wasn't till later in the season in bigger games and the playoffs actually where he really started throwing his weight around on a more regular basis

He's selective when it comes to being physical, as he knows if he did it every game, his career would be shortened (he actually mentioned that in an interview at some point during the season), but having that presence on the ice every game gets in opposing player's heads... You never know when he'll bring the boom.

Also, I thought my comment about sucking it deserved to be bolded. Can't say that I'm not a little hurt by you not bolding it. It's fine though... Don't worry about it.

I am a closet Boston fan and have always had minor chubby for the Luc. I think it will come down to is his level of fitness and ability to shed some of his weight as he gets older. Bigger dudes tend to slow down. I myself am a bigger guy and played stupidly physical throughout my sport career. Joints start to give with all the extra weight and power that they have to endure.

After 2 knee surgeries I am a lot slower than I once was.

Personally, I'd like to see Lucic climb to around 280-290lb. I think he would be most effective playing at that weight. The good thing is that Daddy Katz has access to all of the roids/weight-gain products he could/would ever need.

I want Lucic to get over 300lbs so that Mcdavid has a strong L tackle to protect his blindside.
