fantastic breaking news!!!
"The Knights are looking to build out from the D. He appears more than willing to talk to teams about getting experienced defenders and then looking to kids to get the goals," one source said.

The Devils don't want the pressure of picking the wrong guy, between Nico and Patrick, so they go with Glass.
- ggunky
I like Glass a lot, but not that much. I'd consider him if we had the 4th pick, but I'd take Vilardi over him. No way I'd take anyone in this draft over Patrick Or Hischier |

Signing 2 average goalies to relatively low cost deals isn't going to block anyone, either could be moved at any time. Plus, I don't think any young goalie is ready to be a regular going into next season. Stolarz has been good, not great at the AHL level and is coming off a serious injury. Lyon had an up and down rookie year, and should be spending another season in the minors. Madsen hasn't even played a single pro game and Sandstrom is playing in Europe next year. Finally, Hart has another year of Junior coming and will certainly need at least 1 AHL season after that.
They aren't blocking anyone. - BiggE
I think there definitely has to be movement within the goalies next season. That is due to both the number of contracts/roster spots and waiver eligibility. I do agree that one of them can be moved, if necessary. However, with cap space now, I think it would be more prudent to get someone for one year. Similar to the idea behind the Filppula trade.
I think it is somewhat funny that Neuvirth was actually traded for Johnson at the '14 deadline. Johnson had an extra year on his contract, which was good for the Sabres, and Neuvirth was a "better" backup for the Isles playoff run. |

HUH???? Cody Glass goes #1???? - dragonoffrost
If Glass was the guy the Devils covet, they'd move down to about the four spot to allow Colorado to pick Patrick/Hischier first plus NJ would get an additional asset of value. To take Glass first overall would make no sense. |

I totally agree. I saw that list and was trying to figure out what they were getting at. No way to you make that pick at 1. |

Are you saying I should give up hope that the Flyers get Matthew Wedman in the 7th round? Not sure if I can trust this mock draft anymore |

Without looking at what Dmen are UFAs and who will be unprotected on other teams, I would go after MDZ before taking AMAC. |

I expect some questionable picks that are borderline NHL/AHL guys so they can send them to the AHL and have both teams have a good vet presence.
I wonder if in my previous post they take Laughton and then try to get him to the AHL if they Flyers can or would claim him. |

Does anyone have hopes of Laughton becoming anything more then a tweener at this point? I would offer vegas Laughton just to take AMAC. |

Can we please put to bed the hopes that Vegas will take AMac? They aren't going to just bend over for the established teams. |
