Not sure if you're able to run Kodi without rooting your Android tablet, though theoretically it's possible.

Google it!

Also, my guess is you'd use Google Home to cast to your Android TV or chromecast rather than Google Chrome... Since Kodi is a stand alone app.

In my experience, the video isn't exactly hiccup or lag free though.

I have the KODI app on my computer and I think there is one for the phone/tablet....if there is a phone/table app, might have to options....

1.. the power cord for most tablets is a HDMI in/output now so you can go directly from the device to a tv via HDMI cable that has the phone jack on one side and normal tv jack on the other.

2. the app may have the mirror image function built into the video player which means you can wirelessly send it to any wifi monitor...or Chromecast connected monitor.
