That's what I thought haha, but the bio's are informative. For me Makar not getting an invite/making Hlinka or the WJC is a red flag. I had to look up the WJAC because I had never heard of it, junior A tourney. His team didn't do well and while he scored a lot, he also got scored on a lot.

He needs to dominate in the RBc cup to warrant a top 5 pick. I think it started yesterday per the below link. This should be a good measuring stick as it's the best teams. I still think Heiskanen is the best D

I held out hope for awhile but have not been impressed.
It is make or break this year for him, last chance or he's going to be a career AHLer/KHLer.

Good thing he wasn't 'rushed' into the big leagues or people would be pointing to that as his downfall...turns out even when you marinate for years in the A, you can still end up not developing as much as you'd like.

He is still young . He creates chances and defensively is very good. He has missed some chances but you need to remember his linemate was Chaput for most of the season.

He had 5 assists last year but again look at his line mates.

Ericksson had 24 points last year . This is a scoring challenged team . Hopefully Green can change this boring bad team.

He wins a lot of puck battles , He needs to learn to finish. I wish the Tanev would hit but we know that doesn't happen either. This is a soft team . You add players that hit and it will filter out to other players.

He is free, to earn a roster spot, be productive and not be a liability. once he does that, than ya bring him up. We all know he got a little pre-madonna there, kid needs to earn it hat way he'll spend less of his off-nights clubbing with the Biebs

It was more a comment on how some say JV needs to play in the AHL to learn how to be a pro and comparing that to how Gauce has gone that traditional route, without a lot of success...now that i've had to explain my attempt at a 'joke', it's not all that funny.

As an aside, i got no problem with a kid wanting to party.
Just needs to be able to bring it come game time.

Weber Bartowski Eriksson Sutter Bonino have all suffocated under Canucks style but did good with other teams

So many guys have tried out for that 3rd/4th line role and cannot seem to sustain it.
Maybe we need to change our approach to filling out a team and forget about these big guys that play good defensively, but don't hit.

i'd prefer we switch to a speedster approach.

Hit or score. He is a forward so being purely a defensive specialist won't cut it. It's pretty simple, develop a scoring touch or play a physical, grinding style. If not? Have fun riding busses kid

Would take Gudbranson over tanev any day of the week. This team lacks toughness, especially on the back end. Plus tanev will have the bigger return
