You wanted it but never got it..... so here it is..... all the way from the last blog.... me as GMJB praying for 1ov next year.

Well.... a rebuild isn't just a single path. But I'll take a stab at it.

Sedins are here for another year, Edler is not going anywhere.
So... first id stop talking about trading them

Try to trade into the top two, tanev and 5 if that's what it takes. I believe they're the only bonifid top line players in the draft. Draft d from then on and pray to strike gold.
Suck balls next year and trade sbisa et all next deadline for 2018 picks.
Pray for 1ov.... Draft Dahlin 1ov
Spend money on ufa big ticket items.
Bring back tree

Rebuild over, you have your number 1 center, number 2 center, number 3 center locked up.
You have a decent top 4 with a f
Dahlin and oj leading the pack.
Demko graduates to backstop Markey.
Might not be good or great that year, but should be competitive and on the upswing.
Should be competing for the cup I 19/20.

So, that's my plan, just need to win the lottery next year and get to two somehow this year...... easy right?

Ok boys, rip me a new one......
I want to feel the hate

I went to a ton of awesome eateries. Most places you can't go wrong at. I only went to a couple pretentious restaurants.

Yard house has good food and a huge beer menu.

My wife would say Cheesecake factory don't ask me why.

One of the best meals I ever had was at a place called Sage in the ARia hotel.

Hugo's Cellar is a steak house I have heard of but never tried. Next trip I am going there.

It's all well and good for people to botch and moan but they need to vote or speak up to make sense.....

I don't agree with that... IMO a skillset is a skillset. The skills competition puts guys out there against nobody to compare measurables & you can observe hockey sense (or lack there of) in any game situation regardless of competition.
- DrChristianTroy

A players hockey IQ looks higher when they are skating against boys. If he was playing against men he wouldn't have as much time and space. You are correct to an extent but so is Belcher

I agree a skillset is a skillset when you have a controlled way of evaluation. For example if we knew how fast player x skated, how hard their shot is, how accurate, their performance during exercises etc. Similar to combine results but skill specific.

But in reality the quality of one's peers has a huge influence on how a players skills look. Player X can look like a brilliant skater if everyone around can't keep up, a great sniper if the goalies can't stop the shot, and on and on.

I think there is very little you can judge about a prospect in isolation from his peers.

IMO level of competition can help or hurt your stat-line, but hockey IQ & vision should be evident regardless. Perfect examples are Makar & Vesalainen. One's in a sh!t league racking up pts, the other's in a men's league doing nothing, but they both have top skillsets. Unfortunately there's no way to evaluate all these prospects (apples to apples) across the various leagues they participate in... You just have to do your best to assess & weight attributes you think matter & can translate.

From last blog.
I would be pretty thrilled with Shaw at 56. Not sure if he will still be there though.

How you like Veleno for 2018. So many top kids. Could be a 6 way battle for 1st overall.

Veleno probably isn't even in the top 10 for next season.

Crazy amount of Swedes that played against men or were 17 and played in the u20 league that were a PPG.

Quite a few Russians playing dominating the u20 league there also as 17 year olds.

Another Tkachuk, Sutter, Mcleod, Merkley.

Quite a few late birthdays of 99' kids. Similar to Matthews and Patrick. Basically a full year older.

With so many players choosing different paths to the NHL and College gaining prominence. The junior leagues for older players have to be heavily scouted much more.
