I would try to get it done. Read, Filpulla, Umberger, Lecav off the books after this year. Would be huge to get MacDonald off as well. That's a lot of cap freedom and opens up another spot for a young defender. The picks are nice, but getting 2 and having the extra 3 and 2 4's makes this possible.

Could throw in a prospect as the odd man out type thing like Laughton or whoever is considered expendable. That would be in place of one of the picks, not in addition to.

I would take one of the 3rd rounders and do it. That would help more in 2 and 3 years than this year
