I think this lineup actually has the ability to score through all four lines...... add in some of our puck moving D prospects and I don't see us going for month long intervals of not scoring more than a goal a game |

Do you think a Nic petan for Haag trade would work? |

I don't really think we have room for Petan. He would maybe be on the 4th line but that's the problem he's having in WPG, right? Top 6 or bust kind of thing? |

Quick question re Dallas: I'm guessing one of the 2 goalies from last season gets bought out, do you agree?
- BiggE
If I was Dallas and I could pull it off, I would just demote one of them rather than carry dead cap space for another year. |

My guess is that Raffl goes to LV, Laughton is traded, Read is bought out and Leier back in LHV. Since I think Hischier is going to NJ and Patrick to us, here is how I see it shaking out:
Lindblom-G-Jake
Filppula-Coots-Schenn
TK-Patrick-Simmonds
PEB-Vecchione-Weise or Weal
Spares: Weise or Weal and Cousins - BiggE
Looks good on paper...with D prospects and if we do figure a way to get a goalie into a playoff groove (Bernier of Mase) next Spring/summer we could be still talking FLYERS playoff hockey on Mother's Day. One can dream! Shiiiit Ott is doing it.

Hextall probably gave Morin the Berube spanking after posting those pics yesterday.
Too early to say that Morin is on the organization's poop list? |

Ya, I think he can be really good but not sure he fits with jets young depth up front. Thought the same about Haag with all your young D. Both former 2nd round picks around the same age. |

Here we go Ottawa here we go. I've been watching Oli Maata during these playoffs and he is not a good player. I used to think he was a solid young Dman but geez this guy is on the wrong end of a lot of plays. - ClaudeFather
Had a tremendous rookie season. Since then had health issues (the cancer diagnosis and treatments), several injuries and the usual learning curve that doesn't end after rookie season. Still think he's a good young D-man.

I wonder if Hexy appreciated Morin posting those pics.
Are the Flyers actually gonna sign Dove-McFalls, or did they just post that glowing piece about him on the website to make him feel nice on his way out the door? - Feanor
Usually, if the Flyers intend to sign a CHL draftee, it's already happened by this point. In Dove-McFalls case, though, he had a pretty serious knee injury last season that pretty much ruined his draft+1 season. So there is still a chance he gets offered an ELC, and they are waiting until after Memorial Cup.
I think it's about 50-50 whether he gets an ELC. By the way, the fact there was an article about his playoff run on the Flyers website has nothing to do with whether he gets signed or not. |

The small stitches on Morin's hand tells me he got a cyborg titanium implant to increase shot velocity of Al Iafrate... |

He had his thyroid completely removed as well. Which definitely has had a negative impact on his stamina |

Morin will be just about what they thought. A big (huge) d man that skates well, plays tough in his own end and makes opposing player keep their heads up like GUDAS does, only better. If he winds up as a first or third pairing, doesn't matter. All of the d man make the team over the next few years SOMEONE has to play 3rd pair with Ghost.
That pairing has worked in the past. Morin can worry about clearing the bodies and Ghost can clear the puck. Morin has great closing speed too. Remember him catching Hall? |

I like some of the facts about Maata on Wikipedia.
a. Weight is 136 lbs.
b. Favorite book: English dictionary.

It would be foolish to buy out read. No need for dead space nxt year.
Eat half his $$ in a trade is best route if not taken in draft |

It's getting to the point where it's a roster spot issue and not a cap hit issue . . . and that's a good thing. |

Flyers are not going anywhere next year. Juts bite the bullet with read if u have to.

If they can make the playoffs, that's a step in the right direction. I think that's a reasonable goal. |

What has happened to make you ask that last question, surely something more than him posting a pic..
Unless you are just trying out for Team Negative then it makes sense.
