Is Edmonton adding a first round pick and a defensive prosoect? That's a joke of a trade.

Kane is bigger, faster, better, younger...he was the 4th overall pick, Eberle was 22nd.

Josh Bailey was taken 9th overall and Shea Weber was taken in the 2nd round. For the isles to make this trade they would be getting totally ripped off. I like your insight.

OMG! SOMEONE WHO DOSN'T GET RILED BY THE STICK POKIN' FROM THE WRITERS TO THE AUDIENCE.

DUMBASSES ARE THOSE THAT PUT LITTLE VALUE ON KANE AS A HOCKEY PLAYER.

And to those idiots who point out he's scored 30 only once in his career to diminish his value, have you ever scored a goal in the NHL? Scoring goals has gotten tough. Back in the day 50 goal scorers were more prevolent. 10 - 20 goal scorers were bottom to middle of the bucket players. Today 10-20 goal scorers every other season are treated as highly skilled players. Bull.

Last season he was out a good number of games due to injuries and almost scored 30 again. YOU DON'T GIVE THAT UP UNLESS YOU GET EQUAL OR BETTER VALUE. What armchair g.m. bloggers think is different than the people actually in those positions think.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand and realize that Joe working at the mobile station, Sue the pharmasist or Ed the doctor have no experience in the NHL running a team and thus makes their view and points poo poo.

Remember where you are NHL fans, your on a blog site who's staff tell you I heard it from a friend who's brother was sitting in the stall next to the team g.m. and I heard himsay this, so it must be true.

1-year left on contract, what's his actual worth?

He's a 1-time 30-goal scorer.

Vegas has nothing to offer.

Vancouver? Uh. Nothing to offer/that they'd part with.

Los Angeles? Nothing to offer (Muzzin a big NOPE).

I really don't see his value. Keep him til the deadline and hope he has a good season so someone overpays for him. We'd be lucky to get a 1st and a prospect, definitely not getting a top-4 D for him.

He's easily worth a top 4 defenseman. He would've hit 30+ this season but injuries got in the way. He's one of the more complete power forwards in the league. Most you people are judging him on his antics off the ice rather then the 200 foot player he really is.

Ty wet, you do understand his value. 5v5 was impacted by injuries to the team. I think if Kane played a full season he would've score 32.
