Call me an eternal optimist but Price's comments at the end of the season about understanding that him getting more money means less will be available to improve the team and that it will be taken into account makes me believe he'll get closer to what Lundqvist is earning. Kinda like how Crosby didn't ask for the maxmimum possible with the Pens.

That signing created a weird rift with their fans in that blog

Some of them got real upset with me for pointing out he's incredibly inconsistent (over his career). (Apparently scoring 13 of his 44 pts from November - January means nothing)

I am all for these swedish defenders. Calle Rosen and Philip Holm look like good additions and gambles for the leafs. 23 and 25 years old. Question is, why are the leafs not looking at adding also Sebastian Aho the defender? 21 years old, 0.6 PPG, 30 pts in 50 games in the SHL. Undersized but still posting decent numbers.

If the Leafs draft Brannstrom, and sign Holm and Rosen, we're gonna have a very swedish blue line in the not-too-distant future.

If the leafs want to improve their defense through trade, the teams/players they should be targeting is with the wild, jets, and ducks. Since they will struggle with who they pick for the expansion draft, would be nice if we can pick one of those guys up

You won't puke if said winger turns into a top 6 player while foote is a mediocre ahl guy.. Take the best player, maybe that is foote not sure but either way he isnt helping leafs next season, good chance he doesnt the year after either. Leafs might be more in need of a winger by then even who knows
