you know, I brought up protecting Grabner earlier this year and everyone said no way you can protect him over the other obvious guys. well I would say he brings a lot more to this team than a Miller or Stepan or Hayes or Kreider. I think jimbo is right that they will buyout G this summer and deal with Staal when they can.

Man, Zib looks like he can be the real deal if he stays focused. If he plays all season like he did that series, you got a top 10 forward on your team. Almost no one could contain him.

Of all honestly, I was a huge supporter of trading him because of consistency issues but he looks to be coming along quite well. He was on a gear that we didn't see in Ottawa and I don't would have. I don't think he would have progressed as well in Ottawa. He would have rode a lot of pine under Boucher because of those shortcomings.

Better luck next year Blue Shirts. Hopefully you guys package Stepan for a bag of pucks and a smile. You can afford to now that Zib has shown to be a gamer.

he will get a bridge. no way the rangers want to shell out the money when he is still new to them. Zib may not want to sign long term either, he did have a lower season this year than expected.

buyout Staal. Keep G. G can be effective even on 3rd pairing. Staal is simply useless. keeping staal stunts Skjei's growth.
