Also wondering if the Islanders will make a hard push for Ilya Kovalchuk. It makes sense for them, although they will have to convince him they are going for it now. Russian sources believe Kovalchuk had serious interest in the Rangers, but a) I’m not sure of their interest, and b) I’m not sure they could pull it off if they wanted to. Sounds like Florida has also inquired. But, if he was interested in the New York area, why wouldn’t the Islanders try?

I think it's possible they could trade Stepan and one of the caveats would be they it would enable them to protect Lindberg. I think I saw enough from Lindberg towards end that I am excited about his future again.

So, it doesn't necessarily mean that Oshie would have to play center if we signed him, but his versatility would be invaluable

I agree jimbo, I think a fully healthy year of Lindberg with a greater roll makes this team better

I hate you.

I bring it up due to his most recent blog about how overrated TJ Oshie is. I won't click through anymore.

I don't see anyway he would be traded to the rangers.

It really is bullpoop that they get to trade him now after that looneybin contract was voided. he would still have 8..EIGHT.. more years on his devil deal

don't even get me started, especially how the league gave the Devils a first round pick back that was initially taken away

Just let it go man, I know it's hard but don't give him what he wants. HE WANTS, NEEDS to argue with people, he's a narcissistic weiner, a troll blogger of the worst caliber.

So 1st time I heard of a "silver alert" was yesterday. No idea they had them.

How do you lose an old person? Its not like they are exceptionally quick or anything.

I don't think I have ever commented on one of his blogs. I won't even read them anymore but the comments are almost worth the click sometimes.

I just tweeted that Kovacs and Stromwall's horrendous seasons had to be major contributor to his firing

I can see them trading Stepan (although I've always been in his camp), but can't see signing Oshie unless he and Shattenkirk make a deal to play together (Alan May insinuated this may happen but was talking about the caps).

Either way, while Oshie takes some draws (moreso in the playoffs than regular season), he's not a center. Even when I saw him in college (wife is from North Dakota), he was on the wing with Toews as center.

BTW, did you read Tanner's blog on why Caps should let Oshie go

Weird, I just typed a response and it diappeared.

Anyway, I didn't think you would have read it, but was curious where the Oshie talk came from?

Essentially, Blogger X said don't sign him, so I figure he'll be a good guy to go get if you have the space. LOL

What would you rather watch, the NBA draft lottery, the Mets or a refrigerator defrost? All 3 have about the same excitement

this blogger is addicted to fancy stats and is looking for any excuse why fancy stat heroes named the Washington Capitals failed yet again in the post season to not get out of 2nd round
